    Pros +

    • A serene, stylish escape set among pine trees, sand dunes, and the natural beauty. Mornings start slowly here, with amazing breakfast (one of the best I have ever had) and evenings end with candlelight and cicadas in the background. It is not a hotel, is a mindset: calm, refined, and deeply connected to nature. Perfect for a weekend escape or a longer stay when you need to recharge in total tranquility.
    • The common areas were espectacular, as well as the beach club
    • Stunning property with very attentive staff and amazing dining experience. The beach club is a gem by the sea with a very relax atmosphere.

    Cons -

    • The rooms were the low point, the air was hidden with a bamboo curtain, I expect more design from a 600usd hotel. Did not love the bed, was too soft.
    • It says SPA hotel but facilities are not sufficient: small sauna and internal SPA area.

What a magical place. You enter a hideaway from the world, no sign at the entrance gate, you just slip in and away. Check-in was great, we loved taking the bikes to explore the site, the pine trees, the buildings fitting right into the nature, everything so relaxing. We didn't have dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast was amazing.

It would be nice if the bathroom-toilet in the room had a real door that closes completely and gives more privacy.

Breakfast was very nice and up to the standards of a luxury hotel. Service was excellent, perhaps a notch above the usually expected service. The PR level at this hotel is remarkably friendly and courteous. The garden has some unique and carefully manicured combination of greens (colours and sizes)and zen grated sand and the garden paths are carefully bordered by dried pine needles. I’ve known gardens in five continents and this is still wonderful and relaxing. There are no specific luxury clichés as in many other equivalent hotels. The whole hotel breathes an atmosphere of rustic upscale welcoming smile and quietness. Definitely a place to revisit more than once.

. Biopools are and cleaned every 4x4 months - minimum 2 complete days (Nov / Mar/ Jul ?). Whenever booking a "Biopool room" guests should be informed it will be impossible to use the balcony and pool on their chosen stay. No one is basking in the sun or swimming while the plants are being cut and some hours later removed. Even less with a scuba-dier scrubbing the bottom of the pool for several hours. We might decide not to book or get a discount. In fact one is paying for a benefit which is entirely taken away and out of reach. . Since we were lucky enough to chose those exact cleaning two days, were were reduced, I and my wife, to keep the curtains closed most of the time. . I suggested at the reception, that this type of work as much as possible should be pushed into the first 2-3 hours of the morning during breakfast time. Even if such a change means working an extra week.. All the lights in the room should be commanded from the beds. . The bedside Chinese Ming blue and white table vases are unequivocally important d should be kept for their aesthetic impact but somehow an effort might be appreciated to add up 2-3 small drawers perhaps embedded and half-hidden on the top-sides of the bed,

    Good breakfast

Very poor room. condition. Shower head falling out of wall, windows did not open easily. chairs outside old and damaged. Carpet had to be removed because one could have tripped on it.Kept having to call to get things sorted out.Strange to have cars parked all over the placeSpa very poor. Tiny pool, tiny jacuzziMain pool very smallFood was good as was service and staff all very attentive and helpful. We booked through Booking.com which cost us 20% more than going direct to the hotelWe have supported and booked thru booking.com for years and always been 100% happyThis was not goodVery expensive for the quality of roomWe visited Quinta da Comporta and wished we had stayed thereThe local booking.com representative will know why

Beautiful retreat close to the beach and nestled it cork trees.

Signage on the property could have been a little better - we got turned around a few times!

The setting is magical, surrounded by forest but not far from the sea. The accomodation is a series of cabin-like rooms a short walk into the main lobby/restaurant area. There is a desk & bar area & plenty of cupboard space. The bed & pillows were very comfortable, and the deck & the views to the gardens outside very peaceful. The grounds are beautiful, including a fully labelled herb and vegetable garden. There are 2 pool areas, one for kids which is also a great idea. Transport can be arranged by golf cart to and from the restaurant but we enjoyed the walk. The breakfast was excellent, huge range of choices, and the dinners too, although it was pretty pricey. There is a separate spa centre and its a 10 minute drive into Comporta.

We couldn't find a price list for any of the in-room food provided, nor a room service menu although someone brought it for us when we called reception. The QR link was not very helpful. We had a massage and a facial, both were excellent but we thought pretty expensive.

Amazing staff, great attention to detail. Very good food and wine. lovely facilities. What would make it even better is the availability of binoculars to rent or borrow for the birds in the forest.

Bathroom tiny, no kettle in the room to make tea, room not made up on day 2 until 5 pm.

Nature, style, breakfast and restaurants in the territory

    SPA was quite disappointing

    9HaticePosted on: 2-24-2024

nature and the concept of the hotel

the bathroom is literally in the room, instead of curtain there should be a door; it is not hygienic

Everything was very good quality and above expectations. The facilities, the food and most of all the staff were excelent.

The TV service wasn't so good. I believe they have some bandwith problems and the image constantly freezed.

    10GeorgiaPosted on: 2-3-2024

The breakfast was fantastic, extremely diverse, with offerings I had never had before and I have traveled a lot and to very good hotels. The staff went out of their way to please us without being too invasive of our space, they were just perfect and their English was exceptional.

    6DiogoPosted on: 12-10-2023

    Pleasant

No wifi in the room, called reception and they tried to help but no solution was found, had to consume data during the stay in the room.Water took too long to get warm during the night (~10 min)Mattress and pillows were not comfortable.Overall the staff was very nice and helpful but comfort and relaxation during the stay was not great

    9AsiaPosted on: 12-3-2023

The place is very nice, very beautiful nature, good breakfasts, the room was very modern and clean.

The spa could be bigger, because when you come and everything is occupied (both saunas, swimming pool, jacuzzi) that does not make sense for a spa-hotel. And spa treatments seem to be a bit overpriced (comparing to average Lisbon prices)

    10ClaudioPosted on: 12-3-2023

The atmosphere, the staff, the food

The small space in the indoor pool in comparison with the amount of people. Just 3 beds for many guests

    10AnitaPosted on: 6-6-2023

Everything was amazing! I highly recommend Sublime Comporta the beautiful cabanas with private pool and the restaurant for breakfast and dinner with delicious selection of sustainable food. Unfortunately the beach club was booked for a private event but they recommended another beach club which was great. I can highly recommend the yoga class in the newly build facility with view into the garden.
