About

ARPURIA is a quiet adults-only boutique hotel located at the edge of the forest above St. Anton am Arlberg. Thanks to its slightly elevated position, guests enjoy open views over St. Anton and the surrounding mountains – away from the hustle and bustle, yet still close to the center. The hotel follows a modern, reduced design concept. ARPURIA is intentionally calm and understated, created for guests who value atmosphere, quality and relaxation rather than entertainment or busy resort life. The spacious spa area features a heated indoor and outdoor pool, several saunas, a steam bath and an infrared salt grotto. The wellness area is designed to comfortably accommodate the hotel’s maximum number of guests and offers plenty of space to relax. The atmosphere is especially peaceful in the morning and evening hours. Culinary experiences play an important role at ARPURIA. The hotel offers several restaurants with different concepts, ranging from casual dining to fine dining, as well as a stylish bar. The focus is on quality, flavor and a relaxed dining experience – not on animation or loud entertainment. In winter, guests benefit from a complimentary shuttle service within St. Anton am Arlberg and a free ski depot directly at the main elevators. Ski passes can be purchased conveniently at the hotel. In summer, the quiet forest location invites guests to slow down and unwind. As part of our “Precious Moments” program, we offer selected experiences centered around nature, movement and enjoyment. ARPURIA stands for relaxed luxury, tranquility and conscious reduction – a retreat for adults seeking calm, design and genuine relaxation.

    Pros +

    • Breakfast was good. The room size was good. Although being forced to leave the room and travel two floors up to a communal coffee machine in the morning just to get a first coffee was not a ‘luxury experience’. Even three star places stretch to a bedroom coffee machine or a kettle.
    • Nice atmosphere, good food and very nice welness. In quiet location and transport to the lifts
    • Brilliant sauna and pool, wonderful staff and fantastic breakfasts. Absolutely perfect for what we wanted

    Cons -

    • The lighting! Utterly awful. Have they never heard of lamps? Only a main overhead light provided in the suite, which meant, in the evening, a choice between either semi darkness, with only the bedside led’s on; or the entire suite lit up like an operating theatre in the brightest coldest white. Awful. A choice of being blinded by the dark or the intense central light. Bathroom was the same. Only setting is every light on or off. Which together with the cheap white tiles made it not a gentle or restful space.
    • Nothing really
    • Liked it all, definitely book dinner as it was full one evening

Delighted. Room was good value. Breakfast was great. Spa was really good! Will definitely return.

Luxury touches really make it. On edge of town and up a hill but that means you wake up to a beautiful view. Shuttle bus available but we just walked it; it’s fine. Breakfast is spot on, spa is very relaxing

Liked it all, definitely book dinner as it was full one evening

Excellent facilities and staff were great

Hotel is situated up a very steep hill which can create issues getting to and from the village centre and lifts etc

    9DanielPosted on: 1-20-2025

Great setting, spa was relaxing and great after skiing, staff was super friendly. Location is 5 min walk or shuttle from Galzigbahn gondola. The food is great. Really enjoyed breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant Pura.

The only downside of the place is it’s up a big hill. You can call the hotel and they will send a car to come and get you! It’s well worth calling, as it’s a real hill.

An amazing place! Quietly tucked away from the busy streets. The staff is very responsive and pleasant. A clean and tidy

Gorgeous location. The hotel was so luxurious, the food was amazing, the beds were incredibly comfortable.

    9DiegoPosted on: 10-21-2024

Very modern, beautiful spa area, nice views and excellent food

Location… it’s a bit up the hill away from downtown. But not bad

    10StephaniePosted on: 10-17-2024

Everything was perfect! The thoughtfulness of the staff and care they take to ensure you have a relaxing visit is unlike anything we've experienced before- the spa is exceptionally clean, the (included) beverages in the spa area and snacks are great, rooms are cozy, beds are comfortable (they even include two different types of pillows), wonderful restaurant with delicious food, and a top management keeping an eye on everything but without being intrusive. We look forward to returning as soon as possible!

The free coffee and tea bar, along with the snacks in the spa area and the delightful candy bar, are such thoughtful touches that truly enhance the overall experience. The staff are consistently kind, welcoming, and professional, creating a warm atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The half-board rate is incredibly reasonable, especially considering the delicious, high-quality meals served. The spa is a real highlight—an excellent space to fully unwind and recharge.Room #306 is absolutely wonderful—modern, cozy, and beautifully appointed. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. While we loved our stay in #306, room #207 didn’t quite meet the same standards. We stayed in both during two separate trips just a week apart, and while the hotel overall remains fantastic, we’d recommend requesting room #306 for the best experience. Being asked upon check-in if we had a nice trip getting to the hotel was nice.

We stayed in room 207 recently after having a great experience in room 306 a week earlier and noted a few places that fell short of the expectations we had. In room 207, the radiator heater was not working, and though the in-floor heating did function, it was a little slow to get going. A staff member came to check on it very soon and said he would let his supervisor know – however, during our two-night break, the room still felt quite cool. Another thing, the bathroom door could not shut properly, which the hotel already knew about prior to us checking in. On a positive note, the food at the restaurant was simply amazing. Perhaps the only slight areas that needed improvement would be in the service: for instance, in the case of water refills, it was necessary to ask for them, while also the empty drinks from the bar took longer to be removed from the table than anticipated. During one dinner, they were never removed. These are minor issues, However resolving them would indeed align the service to the very high standards of the restaurant’s fine dining that it has to offer. All in all, we still appreciated our trip and our time in the restaurant, but a few changes could have made it outstanding.

Great vibe, didnt see or hear a child for the whole weekend, which was lovely. Breakfast was nice, as there were a lot of things to choose from.

A very special hotel for exploring St Anton. The facilities were luxurious and the views across the valley from the spa were incredible. Great breakfast, the pancakes were a must order!!

The uphill to the property after a day of hiking!

    9GregoryPosted on: 5-25-2024

St Anton at this time of year is very quiet and little much else is open. Summer season starts about mid to late June. For anyone without a car, it is a considerable walk - the return is uphill - if you want to go to centre of town to eat etc. But as nothing is really open, one eats at the hotel. If arriving by train, they offer a shuttle; much appreciated. But the trade off is the quiet, and, from the front rooms, the view.Breakfast could not be faulted.
