    Pros +

    • The spa was nice and new but very slippery and the pools were not warm. Alessandro the shuttle bus driver was awesome and faithfully ferried us to and from the slopes every day. There was a ski room. The waitress in the restaurant spoke English and was nice to us - she clearly felt bad for us because of what had happened and as the only person to express empathy at the hotel, we appreciated that. The owner provided helpful ski advice but could have been nicer or allowed us a refund after he could not provide us with the large queen bed junior suite with a view we booked - it was frankly insulting to be told the double room with all windows looking out to the road with cars driving by all night and no view to speak of could in any way be comparable to what we had paid for just because the room had a bathtub in it.
    • The rooms are fairly spacious, but the lighting is insufficient in the evening.
    • Great view, very well planned spa area with views from pool, relaxing room and sauna.Cosy room with great view. All day access to reception and bar. Very good recommendation of ski rent facility - great service (transfer from hotel to ski rent, then to the lift. Ski rent end - just leave equipment in hotel ski room, they arrange the pick up).Transfer to lift and back well organized.

    Cons -

    • 1. We booked and paid for a large 450m2 junior suite with a nice view, only to find out on arrival our room had been given away without our consent and had been replaced with a tiny 200m2 double right on the road with no view whatsoever. The owner said his son made an error and tough luck; no refund or cancellation was provided or permitted despite us making many good faith efforts and entreaties to the hotel and booking.com to refund us, provide the jr suite we paid for or place us in a different hotel.2. Booking.com was difficult to reach and ultimately completely ineffective at advocating for us or achieving a resolution, making us question why we would use booking.com in the future3. Our vacation was essentially ruined because we had to spend so much time trying to rectify our room issue which ultimately went unresolved and was not refunded or corrected. We also could not sleep due to the cars constantly driving by on the road on which our room was located and due to the uncomfortable double bed4. The staff was surly with us after we pushed back about being assigned a new room for the remainder of our stay, making us feel uncomfortable5. We would not have booked this three star hotel had we any inkling this could happen.. we decided to take a chance on the panorama fontanella despite typically only staying at four and five star hotels and unfortunately we very much regretted our decision to do so.6. Right up until the day we checked out we kept receiving communications from the hotel indicating we had booked and stayed in the junior suite which added salt to the wound since we had very much the opposite experience and demonstrated a lack of organization and professionalism by the hotel on top of the fiasco that had already transpired.7. Regrettably we cannot recommend this hotel and recommend avoiding it so that this does not happen to you.
    • The hotel is located right on a very busy road, resulting in significant noise. It is also quite far from the city.Breakfast is of average quality.
    • Lights in the room need to be improved

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was professional, courteous, and very well done. The complimentary shuttle service was a great help. The food was plenty and very delicious.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is well maintained, rooms are great and the food is very good. I recommend the half board stay. Hotel shuttles are relatively comfortable and available.

Nice location, Very cool wellness facilities and very friendly and helpful staff. Mr. Marco was always there to help us with anything we needed.

Lights in the room need to be improved

Breakfast was great, with good variety and dinners were outstanding. The views from the hotel and spa were sensational. The spa was fabulous and reasonably priced. All staff were friendly and capable - it was nice to be able to support a family-run business with a great atmosphere. Allesandro, the shuttle bus driver, was very friendly and keen to help.

The rooms have no kettles or cups and while the staff were obliging in giving us cups of hot water, it would have been far easier to just boil water ourselves. Unfortunately, the upstairs lounge area where our adult daughter slept was very dark and gloomy which meant she spent most of the time in the room in the smaller downstairs area. This meant that we were somewhat cramped in the smaller downstairs space.

    Good breakfast, excellent dinner

Location from village, not good transport and taxi not always available. Driver of the hotel is very kind, but not always available

Lovely hotel. Helpful staff. Great food.

    Little cut-off from town.

The owner of the hotel is super nice. He helped me plan a short hiking tril into the Brenta mountain range and answered all questions that I had. The name of the hotel is not a lie, the panorama view is amazing! The new spa is big and luxurious and has that amazing view on the mountains. Breakfast and dinner are very good and for a reasonable price.

Excellent service, magnificent views from thebalcony and a comfortable, modern room. The spa and pool were as beautiful as theylook in the photos, and dinner was deliciousand reasonably priced. The 30-minute walkinto Madonna di Campiglio was alsopicturesque. Highly recommended.

The location is absolutely stunning for everyone who loves mountain panorama. Wellness is just amazing, so new, so clean, relaxing and the views from the wellness are just breathtaking. The owner is very friendly and had a personal aprroach. Hotel is very nice, cosy atmosphere and offers decious food.

We stayed in the apartment and we would appreciate air conditioning in the upper floor. Also upper floor was realy dark with old furniture.

    10PrestonPosted on: 7-7-2024

Excellent hotel with fantastic views. Very close to Madonna Di Campiglio but not in town (in a good way). I enjoyed the family suite which had lots of room for me and my family of four. I appreciated having two bedrooms. The breakfast was fantastic.

The rules for the spa were a little confusing, but manageable. I would of liked a coffee / percolator in the room and a refrigerator.

Staff very friendly. View from the hotel was absolutely stunning. Food delicious. Highly recommended

The food was delicious, I would suggest further expanding vegetarian options.

It was an amazing experience, I recommend booking this hotel. They have everything you need: a ski room, breakfasts (with a spectacular view), dinners, and a gorgeous sauna with a swimming pool. Everything you need is in one place, no need to go somewhere, it is a great solution especially when you are tired after skiing. There is a personal bus that takes you to the ski lifts every morning (less than 5 minutes from the hotel to the Ski lift) and will pick you up after your ride. Thanks to all the staff for such an amazing experience. We enjoyed staying!!!

Everything was great! The spa, food and the skishuttle. We really recommend Hotel Fontanella!!!!

    3JohnPosted on: 2-19-2024

Only good area was the pool and they charged extra for asccess to this

Hugely overpriced! Did not offer value for money. Did not live up to the details on your web site.Frankly we wanted to leave early but were left in no doubt that our prepaid fee would be forfeit .....this was a very unpleasant feeling!Food was at best 3 out of 10. We had the feeling that they were spending the minimum to extract the maximum profit from us.Breakfast was the bare minmum. No effort at all to offer food that our 7 year old could eat.Mattress on the bed was extremely uncomfortableStaff were distant and without smiiling!Bar area was very poor. The hotel is actually OUTSIDE Madonna de Campiglio.Frankly we should be reinbursed for the whole stay!
