Hotel Bel Azur Thalasso & Bungalows

Good place to start our holiday.

We booked 2 nights in a sea view room, but none were available upon our arrival. After a long, tiring journey from Vancouver to Hamammet, we accepted the room they gave us and had to switch the following day.

Very good location and cite. Every thing was perfect. The staff was very professional. A special thanks to Amal from reception. She really was very professional and helpful. She really made a big difference and we left the hotel with the desire to come back soon.

Nothing in particular.

We arrived late and were shown to our rooms which were located just steps from the sandy beach which was amazing. We were only there for around 40 hours so didn’t get a chance to fully explore the hotel but the staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. Highlight was definitely the beachfront bungalow

Unfair to comment much from such a short stay but breakfast selection (very early morning) wasn’t great and the orange juice was undrinkable. Freshly squeezed OJ would have been a big bonus

I like the location and the food.

The rooms look old, and the hotel doesn’t have room service.

We had a wonderful family break at this hotel. Arrival and check in was a breeze through; they even upgraded us for dinner at their sister concern Royal Azur. The breakfast, although great, was the same everyday. The dinner spread at the Royal was great - with full variety, accompanied by excellent (almost personalized service). Great music on Christmas night. Big, neat swimming pools, and private beach area. The thalasso therapy after massage was icing on the cake. Suhail was helpful, so was Saber.

The rooms may need a bit of upgrade. Our toilet wash basin was leaking when we arrived, but when it was brought to the attention, it was immediately repaired.

The space is good and the location too .

Food was the same all time . The property is outdated and bit old since the last time we were there ( 3 years ago ) and the staff seems not caring at all when speaking in arabic until i started speaking in english then they give u the right attention . My wife had a bad headache i took her out for a doctor appointment the charged us 120 DT for not even a paracetamol written for her . So i left the prepoerty 2 days before the end of my stay and also not even a slight refund .

Hotel itself was enough for three days of relaxing holidays. The room view was perfect. Food diversity was incredible.They also offered everyday a list of free activities like table tennis and zumba.

The hotel smells like detergent or washing stuff. It shows the pay attention to cleanliness but it was a bit irritating for us.

Pleasant staff, reception staff were very welcoming and Omar helped me with my room reservation.Sea view bungalow was beautiful, view was amazing and beach very nice and quiet.

Food. Bad quality food, very bland, all tastes the same.

The reason I gave a score of 9 is that Omar and Chadha were very warm, had a great attitude, and were very willing to help the guests. Especially Chadha — she was wonderful, I give her full marks!

The hotel’s basic facilities are still rather outdated, the quality of the food needs improvement, and the other staff lack smiles

Everything is beautiful and clean and the service is so nice, especially Omar from the reception team he is so nice and professional

It's quite Central, it has too many places to sit and relax, the breakfast and dinner were wonderful in which you can find so many options to taste, the beach is amazing that is accessible just a few meters away from the hotel,..

I believe all the staff should learn English, this doesn't mean that they can't speak English. But we encountered some people in hamam, for Instance, who explained important stuff in french!

Large selection of foods at meal time. Napkins and dining ware sparse. Quality average. Beach and chairs could be better maintained.

Everything was excellent l. The Hotel is great of course but what I found exceptiinal is the quality of the service and the hospitality of the Staff. They were always friendly and Helpful! Special thanks to Chada for her friendliness and great tips and also to Faouzi for his Kindeness. You guys made our stay even Better !! Looking forward for my next stay here :)

Nothing to day here

The pool areas are fantastic! Two big pools on separate levels, upper and lower, both next to the beach with ocean views. Free non alcoholic drink service by waiters. Lively animation team on upper pool area and quiet infinity pool overlooking beach below. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. The food was good! Lots of choices, well presented and tasty. Nice indoor and outdoor seating options. We had one small problem with unannounced repairs in our room. But when I complained, Omar at the front desk handled the situation superbly. He was kind, listened attentively, went personally to investigate and compensated our inconvenience with a complimentary afternoon at the thalasso pool, which was spectacularly relaxing and enjoyable. We went mid-week to this resort and the price was unbeatable. I tried to extend over the weekend even though the price was double, I was having such a great time I didn’t care. But they were fully booked. There are two beaches , we preferred the one on the left. I was so relaxed and happy here. I highly recommend Bel Azur!

The location was pretty good and safe. One can easily go to the city center within 10 minutes by walking. The beach and the sea were very nice with thin, white sand... but there are rocks in the sea that may create problems if it`s wavy. We had a shower problem the first night, and the relevant staff immediately came and handled the problem.

Definitely there was a language problem, as some of the serving staff (like waiters and cleaning-ladies; not the staff at the reception) did not know English at all!!? We simply had hard time to make them understand what we wanted or requested... The sound isolation was poor, we heard every noise coming from above!! +Some of the waiters were not polite at all... even one of them tried to kick us out in a rude way, when it was past 10.00 am in the morning, stating that we cannot stay in the restaurant after 10.00; though it was just 10.02 or 10.03!? The management should train them how to behave a customer, even the customers do something out of the line!!? +We saw one cook using his bare hands touching the omelett and one picking up a spoon from the floor and directly using it to cook the omelett!?

The property is well located. The staff was friendly and caring. Omar and Chada were very professional and welcoming and they made the experience unforgettable.The waiters at the restaurants are always nice smiling and welcoming. Riadh, Slim, Tawfik and all were very caring and thoughtful.

Beds quality and room service can be improved. Fitness should be open and free without any extra fees.
