Location was perfect for us right on the Camino de Santiago. The owner was very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommended.
The shower leaked though we were very careful.
Clean room and smooth check-in. Staff was helpful
Old hotel and very small rooms. Beds were not comfortable. Breakfast was basic and not really enjoyable.
Comfortable hotel with big rooms. Great location 3 minutes from the beach.
Place was clean and in a good location
Despite having a completely empty car park, with a staff members motorcycle tucked away behind a line of trees that caused no inconvenience to anyone, would not allow me to put my motorcycle along side the staff members. I suspect they have contracted their car park out to their bus tour provider, as they were the only vehicles in the car park, but WOULD NOT ENTERTAIN any flexibility on the matter. Offered to.pay additional sums for parking. "We have no way to do that". Told them to book it as another nights accommodation. Would not oblige.Tried 3 members of staff. Was told the staff motorcycle was the hotel owners, but would not allow me to speak to the hotel owner "As we know what the answer will be"Don't book if you are a motorcyclist, they will make you park your machine on the public road out of sight of the hotel. Ridiculous. It wasn't so much the issue. It was the complete and utter inflexibility or willingness to assist. I wouldn't have wanted to ask for anything out the ordinary. Stayed in 30 hotels daily since, and not once had a similar problem.
It's a proper quality hotel with a decent restaurant, nice furnishings, children's play area, heating, good size room, lounge /library and good service from staff. The set dinner menu is well worth it.
No parking, but they did advise safe locations on street.
Although cheap, the room was still pretty basic, albeit it was clean and fine for one night. Well located for central Zarauz. No parking though, and finding a space for motorbikes nearby on streets was tough as bikes had to be in specifc marked bays apparently. Didnt eat rhere, but didnt look inviting either.
Has seen better days....... No parking, and tough to park locally.
Quite central and near the beach. Fine for anyone who doesn't require extras. Good value for money as we got a deal.
The hotel is a bit dated, but the location was perfect for the beachfront and the Camino route. The room was comfy and clean, and the bed was satisfactory.
Nice hotel close to the Camino route but also the beach and other amenities.
Reasonable apart from the carpark.
There were 10 of us riding motorcycles worth around £150,000 and we had to park on the streets because we weren't allowed to use the car park. Very disappointed. Also, no tea and coffee facilities in rooms.
We were a group of nine motorcycles. There was a large car park at the rear and we were not allowed to park. They’d allowed a coach to park plus another coach was allowed to park in the restricted designated area outside the hotel. It was a serious disruption to our group having to find roadside parking as near a possible to the hotel when they had an unoccupied car park other than the aforementioned coach. Not customer friendly.
Not being allowed to use the car park. We were given a poor excuse it was for service access only. Complete rubbish - it’s has multiple spaces!
Very spacious bedroom and bathroom, clean and comfortable.
Hotel well located to get to town but the room we had was facing the high street and it was noisy.
Location was perfect to explore the town and access beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
All good
They have a big common/lounge room area, with books and other things, and comfortable seating - really a very nice area. We were only staying a night so didn't use it but for those on a longer stay, or looking to rest and relax indoors more, that could be great.Staff very friendly and helpful, patient when we were digging around for passports for quite a while in rucksacks. We were a family of 4 - we were given a sort of 2-in-1 room situation - one main door to access, then two rooms, and bathroom in the middle. Which was a very nice bonus, we weren't all crammed into one as I'd expected when booking a quadruple. I don't know if that's how it always is there.Good location just a couple of streets back from the beach, near to bus stops and train station.
Pleasant
The room was small and dark with only an internal window
Old world charm, but clean and classy. Right near the beach, and on the bus route
Nice view from requested room. Two lifts always available. Excellent house menu, 3 courses with corked bottle of red wine. €16.50 great value and most enjoyable. Staff friendly and efficient.
Small room with beds that need upgrading. Lighting in bathroom full. Breakfast coffee machine broken with very average coffee from urn. Variety of food could be better, totally opposite to delicious evening meal.
