Salty Dog Inn

Handy location. Quiet room. Pleasant staff.

It is in need of refurbishment, especially the bathroom. Having said that, everything worked and the shower was powerful and lots of hot water.

This is home away from home for me. If I am lucky enough to get a booking, I always like to stay for at least a week every Summer. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are fantastic and super helpful. The location is perfect and the food from the restaurant is soooooo good!

The Room was spacious, light and well appointed. The bed was large and comfortable. There were enough kitchen facilities for us to make a cooked breakfast. The motel is easy walking to the shops and beach. We will come again as it was good value for money and quiet and relaxing on a Thursday night.

That we had to find our own way to the room but it wasn't too difficult because the weather was fine.

Location

Pet owners pay extra and are accommodated in rooms with poor carpets, furniture and on upper floors. Cleaned, but furnishings you don’t want to sit on.

Great location and room size, comfortable beds!!

If there was air con or a heat pump offering cooling would have been good as it was a heat wave when we were there but they did provide a couple of fans which helped

Loved the spaciousness of room upstairs. Great to have a little balcony to sit on. Staff were all friendly and very helpful when we had questions. Bed very comfortable

We have stayed at this hotel before which is why we came back . The room was really comfortable, staff were great and our meal at the restaurant/tavern was excellent.

The TV didn't work. We reported it at 6pm ,were told someone would come and fix it but nobody did. Annoying because it was raining and we couldn't go sight-seeing or down to the beach.

Breakfast was not provided.

Carpet could have been hoovered More. Bathroom floor could have been cleaned More.

Comfortable room, great Resturant and friendly staff and patrons

Staff was wonderful. Food was excellent. Quaint little place that we really enjoyed.

Our unit could've used new carpet and shower drain was very slow. But overall very nice place!

The pub was pleasant, and meals were good.

The rooms are in need of updating and in particular, the pillows ought to be replaced.

Comfy large bed. It was close to an event we were attending so location was good. Plenty of parking

Rooms were a little dated and although clean smelt musty/damp. No aircon, only a very noisy fan so you wouldn’t want it on while trying to sleep. Check in took a while because the staff are busy serving the bar customers. A little pricy when you compare the amenities in the rooms

Bed was clean and comfortable.

The whole room was tired and in need of modernizing. Generally the room was dirty. Very noisy music and loud behaviour at night.

Was easy, clean, comfortable and cheap. Would definitely stay there again.

For the price I thought it was great, bed was very comfy and room was big, nice out look too, plenty of parking. We are staying again this week.

Of course a pool would be awesome - but the price would double

Location

Bathroom floor like a ice rink when wet no mat

Staff, bar and food were okay, room a little tired and could do with an overhaul. But for the price okay

Blood stain on duvet

Spacious room. Really liked the setting and grassy areas around the accommodation. Enjoyed the fact that the accommodation was separate from the tavern itself. Plenty of parking and it felt safe. A couple of minutes walk to a small block of food shops was handy.

Some reviews commented about the place needing updating, however it was fine for our needs and everything worked.

Very comfy beds and pillows - rare find!Nice staff, fast check-in, easy check out. Handy to have a pub in the main building - dinner sorted. They even had some basic kids menu.Air con saved us in a hot night.

Outdated shower - a wall mounted head makes it tricky to wash, especially for a small child. Hard to regulate water temperature too.Not very clean - the cigarette tray on the balcony table wasn't emptied from the previous guests. Good

Location was great. Staff friendly. Great beds

Room to hot. No aircon. Couldn’t secure doors open, hooks too short.
