Everything was awesome here! Andrea helped a lot with getting us sorted and also helping with Kayaks and life jackets etc etc. Epic location right on the waterfront! The Pool and spa were an added bonus and was awesome!

Great value for money I thought. Very close to everything!

The price. Looking back at what I’ve previously paid staying in Russell the price was eye watering. I guess this is New Zealand now. Off the charts expensive

Disappointing

Original greeting was poor, unsmiling and almost seemed put out we were checking in. Room was fine except very noisy air cond units directly outside our room which ran off/on all night. The room was stuck in the corner with no direct sunlight on two beautiful days. Shame!

The location is right in the heart of Russell.Our unit was perfect, with a comfortable seating space, dining table, and kitchen. A separate bedroom is always a plus. A big bonus was that we also had an outdoor table and chairs, overlooking the salt water pool and spa.

Noise from the road and room itself below average, uncomfortable bed . No outlook ?

Large unit on waterfront, lux bed, furniture and towels. Situation great apart from busy foot traffic right outside unit.

Toilet smelt of sewage, outside lights on from dusk till dawn. Unable to turn off so unit not dark for sleeping or stargazing. Not a relaxed setting at night. Unit not serviced for 5 days even though "service my room " sign was out. We were forgotten about... but oh owner did ask if we had enough towels on day 4 . Shower leaked, hand basin tap worn and hard to keep on, no aircon but did have a good portable fan. Note ...owners unit was above and they had aircon. No toilet freshener and extractor fan for the bathroom/toilet was too small. We won't be back

The location and facilities were great. The rooms were clean and spacious. It was great to be provided with loungers around the pool along with pool towels seperate from the normal bathroom towels. There were also a few extra's provided in the bathroom that were unexpected like makeup removal sheets.

No Air conditioning, so I had two sleepless nights because it was so hot. The place seemed to attract a lot of middle aged to retired people which makes AC even more important with hot flushes on top of the heat. There were fans provided but they just circulated the hot air. The pool could also have been cleaner and we didn't see anyone attending the spa, so we didn't use it.There was shampoo and body wash provided but no conditioner.

Prime position in Russell! Loved Portia the cat who visited! Loved the pool & spa and the unit as a whole! Other guests were friendly, which was nice. The position was definitely 10 out of 10. Lovely Cafes and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. Overall we loved our 1st time in Russell!

The decor could certainly do with a spruce up!The noise from Motel next doors Air Conditioning kept my partner awake and he can generally sleep anywhere LOL We did wonder why they supplied ear plugs ??? Not ideal if you are a light sleeper. When we arrived the bedroom sliding door to little outdoor area was open. Our room when we arrived smelt like someone had been smoking inside but it was the lady in the next room and with only lattice between, the smoke was going straight into our room. I guess for $350 a night we had high expectations.

The next door rooms both held smokers who felt it was ok to smoke on the rear patio area even though it connected with our room. As non smokers we found the smell objectionable.

Pool was the best thing there.

Room was ultra basic for price paid. Bed hard as rock. Ranchslider very difficult to lock. When told staff member it was almost shrugged off. Room so hot and only had a wee fan that did not oscillate or cool room. A guide book how to use tv would be handy. Sand on floor and outside enclosed area. ? Room properly cleaned after last person.

The motel was in the perfect spot to enjoy Russell waterfront with cafes, restaurants, waterfront walks and amazing sunsets. The motel was very nicely decorated with most amenities availble. The motel's amenities were of a high quality. The staff and owner were very friendly and it felt like a home away from home. Highly recommended and will return in the future.

Excellent location. The staff were very nice and the room was large and clean. Quick walk to beautiful beaches.

Parking is very limited.

The family unit was perfect, roomy, private, and secure. Everything in walking distance. The kids loved the pool. Not too many rooms, so wasn't an overwhelming busy place, very relaxed. The hospitality was great. Booked again for next year.

Great location, beautiful sitting by tge water enjoying morning coffee. Tranquil & uplifting start to the day.Bathroom clean, just watch the shower when turning on. Quiet in the courtyard a real sun trap???perfect for a summer siesta.

A basic room, spacious with arm chairs. Would have been nice to have a couch. Over priced for a view of the pool.

The live music at the neighbour hotel ( the Duke)
