    Pros +

    • The location was great for our wedding party.
    • Staff at the reception were kind and helpful. They were eager to help. The are around the hotel is really nice, with good restarants and caffes.
    • Very impressed by the level of communication before arriving at the hotel and the self service facilities. Clean and comfortable

    Cons -

    • I would not recommend Hotel Rastelli Tervuren. After updating my credit card details, I accidentally made a duplicate booking. I realised within 20 minutes and contacted reception immediately. Instead of checking or trying to resolve it, the older woman at reception flatly refused to help, saying nothing could be done and that Booking.com would not refund me. The hotel was almost entirely booked by our wedding party, so there was no chance of someone else taking the room. I ended up paying over $600 for an unnecessary extra room.On top of that, the atmosphere was unfriendly and unwelcoming. Despite paying for two rooms, I was told off at breakfast simply for standing and talking with family. The rooms themselves were poor quality: stained bedding, lumpy pillows and duvet, unsafe plug sockets, and broken bathroom fixtures. The entire place felt dark, dated, and neglected. The younger staff member did at least try, but overall the service and standards here were unacceptable.
    • The hotel is actually old, it is in need of renovation of some parts of the installations. The room is good enough, but it feels old. The shower needed repairng. It was not easy to use because of this. The worst part was the service during breakfast. The staff needs more customer service training. They do not seem to have the right profile for the job (not too kind or oriented to service). Breakfast is exactly the same every day, it does not change at all, and sometimes it is not well prepared (boiled eggs undercooked and the like).
    • Steps in front lobby were a little dangerous. The color of the tile blended and one could miss that there were actually steps. Initially staff was annoyed with me because I failed to prepay. I then explained an email I received regarding a scam and was told not to respond to further emails. Then the attitude improved. I was told the hack was due to booking.com.

Quick check-in, easyness to find, well-stocked room.

Only saw staff in the mornings, barely any interaction during check-out. Room was fine but pillows were just the cases... was basically lying flat.

Great staff, good parking at rear. Large rooms with tea & coffee. Small kitchen area

Lovely big room. Great shower. Nice breakfast

My door didn’t lock. I raised it with the girl on reception and she came to check and said it required slamming a few times which I felt bad doing for the rest of the floor. The cleaner must not have known either because when I came back after the day out my room was left unlocked again. The second day I went to find a staff member for help but couldn’t find anyone to help. I thought I was going to have to sleep with the door unlocked. Eventually I got it to lock.

Perfect location for a quiet stay, distant from all the city ruckus, yet not so isolated that there aren’t things to do. Perfect

To be honest, nothing. Maybe the only thing to comment on is the fact that there weren’t locks on the toilet but eh not the end of the world?

Spacious room, large bathroom and hot tub after a long motorbike ride.

Staff was friendly, but not available for some of the time (like not to be found upon arrival). A large (readable) name on the property would help find it.

    Close by the african palace

Weird staff. I asked for water to drink my pill. They refused to serve a glass of water and asked us to leave the breakfast table at 10 am as breakfast time was over.

    Room cleanness

Charging more for Breakfast...no varities of food item... staff service is very poor

    9RichardPosted on: 9-27-2024

I stayed for literally bed and breakfast and both were fine. I was delayed and checked in a bit late but the staff were super helpful. Well informed about bus arrangements in lieu of 44 tram works. I like the fact that a carafe of water was provided in the room. Everything was exceptionally clean.

Small point - shower mats would be a good idea as bath a bit slippery. The tram works on 44 route until spring 2025 apparently are not the property’s fault but they do make coming by public transport a bit more difficult so wise to do homework.

    The location is usefull.

Parking was not easy and pretty much no services on site.

    6sophiePosted on: 9-15-2024

    Liked the sliding doors

Lights didn't work and sockets coming off walls they did get fixed the next day but it should have been checked before arrival of guests. Staff very quick to have that sorted.

highlight is the park of tervuren , only 10 minutes walk from the hotel. tervuren itself is a nice village and the tram service and ride to brussels city is always worthwhile. the hotel is in comparison not expensive, breakfast is fine, the one annoying issue is the really lousy wifi connection.

    Wifi, wifi, wifi !!!!

check in gal was super nice as well as efficient which we definitely appreciated after a really arduous travel dayfree parkingproximity to airport

VERY LITTLE DINING NEARBY w/o car relatively unresponsive front desk/breakfast room staff we had to ‘find’ in order to get coffee

    10CorradoPosted on: 8-29-2024

The room was very large, quiet and well decorated.

As there are 2 steps to go to the bathroom I reccomend that a led light is installed so during the night one can avoid to trip whilst going to the bathroom.

Spacious, comfy beds, close to city center, okay for 3 stars.

I travelled solo in August for a wedding close by and stayed one night in a standard twin bed room booked over booking.com.I had the room 209 in the second floor, facing south-east towards Hoornzeelstraat. The biggest issue is that the room does not have air conditioning. The room was very hot when I arrived, and although I left the large sliding window open for the next 12 hours, it did not cool down a lot. Meaning, sleeping could be an issue, as the temperature remains uncomfortably high in the room. One basically sweats all the time being in the room.Apart from that I did not notice/have a balcony or terrace, as was advertised in booking.com.I did not have breakfast or use any other amenities, so I cannot say anything about that.

There was a problem with the first room and we were quickly and politely moved to another room. We didn't eat or drink in the hotel and so can't say how the food was. Reception was friendly and helpful. Room had small kitchenette area which was quite old but nice to have space for tea and coffee making and fridge. Not sure that a hobs are necessary in a bedroom? Great location with off street parking and easy walk to amenities and park.

The room was really warm though a fan had been put in to try to help but there was so little air but then it was August. The rooms were all a bit dated and the towels were tired but bathrooms were clean.
