Citadel Narikala Hotel

Great location, close to the Old Tbilisi and various landmarks on foot, also nice connection to other landmark parts of the city. Hotel is on the hill with all rooms, common hotel terrace and breakfast area having great panoramic overview of the city. Pleasant and welcoming staff. Comfortable bed. Fair space to store clothes. Breakfast is fairly ok, not huge selection, but fine. Hotel lobby is basically a museum, fun part. Complementary water nice touch. Wi-fi solid.

Despite having good time at the accomodation, obviously heating of the room is not the best at some points if it is very cold outside, because of AC heating system. Below the toilet seat, toilet had yellow stains, not a pleasant sight it needs to be taken care of. Toilet seat was not proportional to the toilet and it was half broken. Sometimes there were smells in the bathroom coming from the drainage. In the evening and some other time there was insuffiicient hot water for shower. Hotel is on the hill, so steep climb for 50 meters could be trouble for some, especially if it is snowy icy it could be a challenge to get to the hotel.

On the other hand, the hotel is located on the hillside so it was quite challenging to walk up to the hotel by foot, and not every taxi agreed to drive directly to the hotel entrance. We had to go down the hill with our suitcases to get the taxi. But I would say the fabulous view was worth it!

We had a really great stay at Citadel Narikala. The staff are extremely polite and helpful, the room was clean, spacious and comfortable, the terrace is really lovely and the breakfast was just great. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for exploring Tbilisi.

The place was really great, and the location was excellent—almost right in the historic center, with really nice views of the whole city. The only heads-up I’d give, especially for older folks, is that it’s at the top of a 200-meter uphill walk. It can be a bit tough for anyone who might have difficulty with climbs. Other than that, everything was spectacular.

The Ac(maybe just room 11 since after a while we found out the ac need cleaning to work better.The bathroom condition(no window or exhaust fan) and the shower water is not hot all the time.The tv has no channels. The table lamp and balacony lamps are not working. The hotel leak water when it rains which make the elevator also fail.the wall has some weird orange stains.

The location is great, it’s in the middle of the old city and close to most attractions.It has a nice view on the terrace

Our room was bad in general, i was under the impression that i have a nice view, but view was a tree, but it wasn’t a big deal since you can go to the terrace and just enjoy a nice view, but it doesn’t feel good to not get what you paid for.The balcony floor was kind of broken and there is a spider web on the whole so it has been there for a long time and no one cares.The bathtub had some green stains which weren’t removable with water.The room didn’t have any tissues it seems like a small thing to complain about but it adds up.

The climb to the hotel was hard for family

Not really a complaint, but would of been a bonus if there was a small fridge in the room.

Excellent location, although there is a steep climb to the hotel, but in my opinion it is worth the effort ? We got room 12 which was spacious and had a balcony, a gorgeous view. Clean room, delicious breakfast, excellent and friendly service.

It's important to know about the climb to the hotel, especially for older people. You should take into account that if you come with luggage, not every taxi is able to get you up the road, only part of it.

The hotel is super waw, amazing central location, near to all touristic attractions by walk, a lot of cafes, restaurants, shops & night life. The room is very comfortable & the breakfast is so yummy. Big thanks for the reception guy Mr. Givi who welcomed me & gave me all the tips i need it as a first time solo traveler to Tbilisi.
