    • There were no fridges in the room. Our lock box wasn¿t working (remained locked from the last tenant). When we called, we weee told it would he fixed in an hour, then in a few hours, then the following day. However, no I¿ve ever came to fix it.

Central place and easy access from route 8. Beautiful and safe parking. 24 hour desk. Most friendly staff,

The breakfast could have been better. Saw fruit still in the bowl in a state of badness. Th e croissants were cold. But these are miner things.

Nice spacious room, balcony, good A/C, great shower and good breakfast.

Access a little tricky to the car park but otherwise a very comfortable stay.

Customer service was excellent. Hotel was very neat and clean. Good size rooms equipped with all the basic needs like of hair dryer, toiletries, safe, tea coffee etc were given. We stayed there for three nights. Bed size and mattress were good to sleep

    Lovely room, clean and large.

Says it’s dog friendly but literally nowhere in a mile radius you can take the dog to go to the toilet (if they only go on grass like mine) not a dog friendly neighbourhood as literally no green space anywhere. Also, I had booked parking but when we arrived they said there was none available, had to park in a public car park about 500m away which would have been fine, had I not had my 30kg dog with me and having to walk her uphill in 33°c searing middle of the day heat! (She burnt her paws getting to the hotel). No apologies from the staff, just a shrug of the shoulders). Won’t stay again.

The property is really generous with its breakfast. The lobby and garden are lovely and well curated. The staff members are all extremely kind and most went out of their way to be helpful. Our room was nice. The bed was comfortable.

The parking garage is really difficult to negotiate with blind corners. It is very hard to park without hitting a wall.

1)We booked and paid Euros 930.00 for 6 nights when we arrived at the hotel. On arriving at the hotel the staff did not inform us that our room was directly opposite a major building site & on a noisy street. My husband had been ill for 2 weeks prior and the doctor in St Maxime advised that he needed to rest and take the medications prescribed to him. The reason we booked a 6 night stay at the Best Western Hotel Journel Saint-Laurent-du-Var was so my husband could rest and recover from his illness. 2)The morning after our arrival at the hotel work commenced on the construction site across from our room at 6.30am, banging ,cutting metal, hammering , workmen yelling plus a large crane on site. 3)My husband realised that there was no way he would be able to sleep with all that noise. We asked at Reception for a more quiet room but were told there were none available. 4) We advised that under the circumstances we would be checking out that morning, however as we only stayed the one night we expected some sort of a refund on the 930 Euros that we had paid. By my calculation the refund should around 700 Euros. The gent at Reception said he would have to speak with his manager about a refund. 5)No refund has been forthcoming and we have not heard one thing from the Hotel. Since we are now at home in Australia I emailed a letter to the hotel asking about our refund, again NO response. I c.c'd Booking.com with my letter to the hotel & phoned Booking.com at least 4 times so far in regard resolving this matter. 6) I am hugely disappointed that the hotel feels it is OK to treat their guests in this manner and with such disdain . We will never stay with Best Western again and I would never recommend them to anyone. My husband is 81 and I am in my 70's and to be treated in this manner is truly appalling. Sincerely M Gibson, Sydney Australia.

    Comfortable, clean, large, quiet.

A shelf, table or stool in the bathroom would have been helpful. There was certainly space for a more practical shelf to pose a toilet bag.

    Better parking entrance sign

The concierge was charming and very helpful. The Italian restaurant where we had hoped to dine was closed and my wife was unable to walk further. The young lady ver kindly organised a pizza delivery and established us with crockery and cutlery.Lovely secure parking.

In the bathroom there was a fixed shower gel in the shower. No means of washing one’s hands at the washbasin. The tv remote couldn’t be found. The card holder on entry was difficult to locate in the gloom. A neighbour, who had had a similar problem came to our rescue with a torch.

The room was nice and big.

There is no bar or restaurant….
