    Pros +

    • Hotel staff was wonderful: friendly and super helpful. I left my sunglasses on the beach and they send someone at night to look for it and they found it and brought to the reception, I really appreciated this thoughtfulness. Food was great, lots of fresh fruit and veggies and ice cream, yumm! Evening programs were great as well.
    • Overall, we had a great time! - Good and variable food - Decent animation- Close to the beach (5 min walk but even a shuttle provided)- The beach itself is just perfect. Spacious and clean- Location. Evening shopping outside the hotel was nice and safe. Public bus (a bus stop nearby) will take you to ancient old city in no time and at a low price
    • We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were decent, though the bathrooms felt a bit dated, but still functional. The swimming pool was pleasant and never overcrowded, even though we visited during the peak season at the end of July. The beach was another highlight - plenty of space, comfortable chairs, and, most importantly, clean water. Having stayed at other hotels in the Side area, I can confidently say the seaside here is the best. The food was a standout with a wide variety each day. They grilled fresh meat and fish in front of guests, had a dedicated chef just for salads, and made omelettes to order every morning—something I enjoyed almost daily. The wait staff were generally nice and helpful, although at times they seemed a bit overwhelmed, requiring some patience on our part. Still, the service wasn't overly slow. The hotel offered many activities throughout the day, including aqua gym sessions in the pool or sea, beach gymnastics, bocce, and volleyball. There was even a fun foam party. Evenings were lively with entertainment like Brazilian dance performances, acrobatics, and a fantastic white party. The animation team did a great job keeping guests engaged without being overly pushy. We were particularly impressed by the blonde Russian girl and the brunette girl who did the afternoon aqua gym sessions in the swimming pool.

    Cons -

    • If your room windows are facing the street it will be noisy at night so you'll have to close the balcony door. Just a heads up, 90% of hotel customers are retired German so don't be shocked if you won't see many people on the water slide, volleyball court or dance floor. It was fine by my family as we easily entertained each other but if you are traveling solo and don't belong to the majority group then you might be disappointed
    • It is understood that smoking is allowed nearly everywhere in Turkey. However, with small kids, we have experienced quite a bit of discomfort having meals at the beach restaurant or at the terrace of the main restaurant (which is not even open-air) surrounded by the tobacco smoke. I think, the hotel would benefit from restricting smoking to specifically designated areas or at least forbidding it at the main restaurant.
    • Unfortunately, there was one major downside to our stay. The brunette Turkish woman from the animation team was consistently rude and unprofessional. She was dismissive when guests asked her questions, made inappropriate faces, and even went as far as sitting at a guest’s table and smoking in front of them, with children seated right in front of her. What really soured our experience was her persistence in pushing us to buy tickets for a bingo game over two days. Despite our polite refusals, she continued to pester us. On the night of the bingo game, after refusing again, she along with another Turkish male animator began speaking about us in a derogatory manner- while we couldn’t understand the exact words, it was clear the comments were unpleasant. For a hotel of this standard, paying a considerable amount for our stay, such behavior is unacceptable and truly detracted from our overall experience.Additionally, there was also a male waiter, whose name I won't mention as I don't want him to lose his job, but a manager should definitely speak with him. He would frequently come over to talk to me and flirt, even though I made it very clear that this was not appreciated. Unfortunately, this didn't stop him, and the whole situation became quite uncomfortable. Due to these staff members' rudeness and inappropriate behavior, I would hesitate to recommend this hotel, despite its many positives.

Comfortable sandy beach with enough umbrellas and sun loungers. Large sunshades. Beach bar with enough food and drinks, which makes it possible to stay on the beach all day. 2 hotels are served, there are enough places for everyone. Walking distance to the sea is 5 minutes, but there is also a car that constantly carries those who do not like to walk. The food is normal, basically everything is there. There is a safe in the room, enough water and bathroom accessories. The elevator worked without problems, good internet. Beautiful lobby in the hotel and a bar that is always open. Slides for children, ice cream. Standard daily room cleaning. Water in the shower without problems and good air conditioning.

We spent 2 weeks in another very friendly hotel in Turkey before this and then moved to Vila side. . And here's a miracle, no one speaks English! As if I came to Germany ? And only one very nice, handsome guy who meets us and carries our suitcases. He is the only polite and smiling employee in this hotel with a good knowledge of English. This hotel works mainly with tourists from Germany. Don't be surprised. At the reception, you will be met by a not very friendly employee who does not really know how to greet guests. The room on the fifth floor is ordinary with a small bathroom and a tiny bathroom stall. Immediately upon entering the room, I discovered that the lock on the balcony door did not work and this is the fifth floor and I am with a child. The hotel employee who brought us to the room tried to close the lock but it was broken and politely said that the lock would be repaired. I also reminded them when I was at the reception to have the lock repaired. In the end, no one did anything and the door did not close?? a huge minus for the hotel! In the room, my child found personalized matches of the hotel, probably from previous tenants, although my room is non-smoking. Matches in the room? It's good that the child showed them to me and I took them away in time! A huge request to more carefully and attentively check the cabinets from previous guests!!! Matches are not a toy for children! In the main restaurant, the employees are different, like everywhere else! One unpleasant employee in the restaurant who was always running around, spoke loudly in Turkish, showed her unprofessionalism. Often in the evening there are no places for dinner, you had to wait for a table. Again, they speak either German or Turkish. They immediately speak German and if they see that you speak another language, they still continue to speak in a language you do not understand and then completely avoid you.

    Everything except bathroom

Bathroom was small, doors of shower cubicle did not close resulting in a constantly wet floor. There was a foul smell coming from the drains in the bathroom.

We liked everything in this hotel - we had never stayed in such good 4* Hotels in Turkey! The hotel exceeded our expectations in food diversity, servicing of personal, waiters in restaurants were so nice and complaisant - I've never met such service before, really))The distance from exit to the beach - I would say 250m, and even this distance you could be droven by golf-car, it drives every 2-3 minutes.Rooms were cleaned every day, all bath accessories were changed and added in time, we always had water in our fridge, which we found broken, but while we had lunch - it was changed without delay. As I told - very big diversity of food, in addition - ice cream at the swimming pool, ice cream for the dinner in the restaurant, our son was amazed with it. Clear sand beach, solid sun canopies, very warm water.Personal speak mostly Deutsch, a little bit English.

I lowered my rating for only the reason that hotel manager will pay attention to some annoying details: 1) room conditioneers placement. If it wouldn't be blowing DIRECTLY on the beds - there would be almost nothing to write in this section. 2) I would suggest to improve sound isolation in the rooms which which look at the road and Residence hotel beyond the road - evening parties are TOO loud. We vere happy to have the room on the other side, but once we visited our friends from this "road-side" room - it is really noisy and annoying!

The beach bar and restaurant was lovely, which was just by the beach. The beach was clean and sandy. The staff were very friendly and helpful

The bedrooms were a little bit dated, could do with a bit more attention.

Very comfortable, close to the beach (which is sandy not rocky) and has a great over water area with plenty of deck chairs. Not hard at all to get a chair and shade. The pool was good and the water slides are actually better than they look in the photos - we are in our early 50s and our 21 year old daughter found them really fun (not too many stairs to climb ha ha). The food was amazing - my daughter has serious food allergies and they catered for her with no trouble at all. The staff were great too. The time we were there it wasn’t a crazy party hotel - the clientele were mostly older, but there was music which was good. All in all we had a great 3 days there.

Nothing - but I think 3 days is enough. We like a bit of adventure and would have got bored after 3 days. Side is ok but there are lots of other great places in Turkey to visit so if you can go to a couple of places I’d recommend it.

    7RoobyPosted on: 6-18-2024

Staff extremely friendly and helpful and accommodating.Hotel is close to the beach and to Side with easy access to local buses.

Bathroom / shower cubicle far too small, uncomfortable to manoeuvre inside cubicle. Shower unit can do with upgrade.Air condition situated in different locations in every room - why?The best location should be on the bed head rest side so the air is not blowing directly in your face whilst sleeping. The loud music coming from across the road at night made it difficult to sleep in the rooms close to the main road.Hotel staff at Reception only speak German and Russian, only one person on duty during our last days spoke English because hotel is more German oriented. This information should be given in the hotel description so people can decide if they want to be in an All-German environment or not. Would be helpful for hotel to offer money exchange service.

Like the small hotel, not too crowded, quiet and nice

Room was small, a little leak in the bathroom, the conditioner right above the head that was very cold in the night , and when turned off too hot . Else all good

Villa Side Hotel is very pleasant to be in - by this I mean even visually, the hotel is light, pleasantly small, gives friendly vibes. Especially very friendly staff makes the stay enjoyable. The hotel is maybe 5 minutes away from private beach, but anyway there's a small golf car, which commutes constantly from the hotel to the beach and back, so at the end we walked there maybe three times in total (especially fun for kids). The beach itself is also great - fine sand, umbrellas and sunbeds for everyone and also restaurant, where food at lunchtime or drinks almost all day long is served.Food is really lovely, at the end of the second week the breakfast seemed a little monotonous, but otherwise good variety - plenty of sauces, meats, veggies, herbs, pickles, sweets, pastry.

The only downside (from the point of view of my family members with food restrictions - gluten intolerance), there weren't many glutenfree alternatives - no GF grains (as millet or buckwheat. Rice was there always, but sometimes mixed with noodles - it is delicious, but not GF), no GF bread (which was limiting especially for the breakfasts), except fruit no GF sweet treats. Fortunately we braced ourselves for this cause and brought some things from home and later on bought some things in Carrefour.

Good location. Good wide beach. Send is clean, no rocks, shells. A lot of space for walking, running. Food is amazing. So many activities, beverages.

Not quite. Music was playing outside very loadly till 23.00 from another hotels nearby.Housekeepers knocked in door and showed hand with coins. Looked like asked for money. And one day they just stolen or throwed away rasor and removed card from card holder. It was unapropriate.

Very friendly stuff at the restaurants, great varierty of food in the hotel and at the beach restaurants, good animator at the disco for kids (Celine), very clean beach and good sunbeds, very good photographer, clean rooms, fresh water in minibar

Very strange location of facilities for kids. If you do not use poolbar, you do not see the kid's playroom and outside facilities for children, that are hidden behind this areaThe blankets can be made of a bit softer material

    10TimeaPosted on: 9-4-2023

We arrived early in the morning and we received our bracelets, so we could use straight away all the facilities. At first we were given a room without balcony but they changed the next day. (We booked with a balcony)Food - good selection, also at the beach during the afternoon. Service - as everywhere you have good employees and not so good one. Special thanks to Yasar (Restaurant) and Hassan, they made our holiday special. My boyfriend had a birthday and we recieved a birthday card and a wine - thank you very much for the gift. We also liked that there was always a free place next to the pool or on the beach so you never had to reserve a seat in advance.

    - Wifi wasn't working in the room, we had to go out to the pool, but we were on holiday so it was not an issue. - at first we didn't know where is the evening/night entertainment, so we missed it on the first 2 night. It is in the neighborhood hotel and you have to go underneath the tunnel.

Food variety was very good, lots of meat and vegetarian options. It was never boring. Staff were very lovely in the kitchen and bar. Entertainment was average.

Lights kept going off due to generator issue, lifts were out of use due to this. We waited 2 days for a sea view room even though they promised the next morning. The staff during the night shift at the lobby was rude to another gentleman. Location was very secluded, not much around.

    8StephaniePosted on: 9-3-2022

The staff were generally amazing....specifically Huseyin. He was the absolute best, always smiley and lovely. He greeted everyone with a smile and remembered each order, honestly wonderful.Ali was also great and so was Dilan. There was a good selection of food which was really great! You can get sunbeds at the pool which is great, the bar is also very close.

We had booked a double bedroom but we got a twin. Also, the air con was a bit temperamental which meant that we were either too hot at night or too cold.

    9LaarousPosted on: 9-2-2022

The staff kindness, the pool facilities, the all inclusive is extra the whole day from breakfast to the night with snacks and ice cream for kids, the distance to beach and the free transport (walking 3 minutes).Food is diverse and the staff are helpful.Opportunity to use 5 star hotel (Side village) for kids activities and show. Not for slides.

Just suggestions : more attention at check in with tour visit to all facilities.Extend slides pool opening hours.
