About

Il Villino Wellness is a family-run hotel with large garden. Set in the medieval center of Santarcangelo di Romagna, it offers air-conditioned rooms, free parking and free WiFi in public areas. Il Villino has been completely renovated, preserving the original and characteristic style of a country house. During summer, breakfast is served out in the garden, which includes a fountain by a famous designer. Rooms and suites are all unique and include a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. The wellness center comes with a sauna, an indoor pool, a Turkish bath, emotional showers and a hot tub. It is available upon request and at additional cost. Many restaurants are located around 656 feet from the property.

    Pros +

    • Staff were wonderful, location was amazing, the spa was rejuvenating, and the hotel was rustic and beautiful.
    • Overall beautiful hotel and propertt! Loved the free parking. The spa experience was lovely as well.
    • the photos are misleading. the carpets are dirty. no soundproof walls. breakfast terrible. they cut the pastry in small pieces as if you were at a cake tasting event

    Cons -

    • Bathroom in the suite was not very private do to the modern glass construction, it looked like an afterthought to the design of the guest room and could have been more soundproof at least, with solid walls more suited to the rustic design of the overall hotel.
    • The rooms even with AC were a bit warm and the breakfast could also be a little more exciting. Maybe a more interesting plating (on wood, different levels), something more esthetically pleasing to match the rest of the hotel!
    • The single size bed (which I understood later is in accordance with Italian laws for single size bed) was a little too small, and I believe it should be moved to the opposite wall because its current location begs for bruising passers-by.

A stay at Il Villino storico is a unique experience not merely a night at a random hotel. The friendliness of the staff is wonderful and the whole place is welcoming and familiar.

The single size bed (which I understood later is in accordance with Italian laws for single size bed) was a little too small, and I believe it should be moved to the opposite wall because its current location begs for bruising passers-by.

I was not able to sleep properly

The walls are very thin and I was woken up in the middle of the night by noise coming from neighbouring rooms.

Beautiful place, right in the center of the town, but in very quiet area. Nice breakfast that you can enjoy outside in the garden. Very helpful staff.

Lovely location and rustic but elegant. It feels to be in a way more expensive villa.

Room was a bit tiny and conditioner feels old so not so powerful. But to be fair has been super hot these days.

    Location, staff, scenery

Seems to have been water damage where the tub was.

Just off the main square in a quiet location. Old world feel and decor. Private parking. Plenty of restaurants in the area. Breakfast included was good

    No tea making facilities

Superb location, friendly helpful staff. Comfortable room and breakfast in the garden was lovely.

Bathroom very dated, chipped bath and sink. Didn’t affect overall stay.

Staff. Quirkiness of rooms. Beautiful surroundings.

Bed was hard and pillow even harder. Have stayed here several times and not noticed it before.

Hosts were so welcoming and helpful. And the property was amazing - so historic but with all that was needed for a comfortable stay. Location was perfect to stroll into Santarcangelo.

Quirky rooms. Each one different. Lovely staff especially breakfast staff. Breakfast in the garden. Really good restaurants in lovely hillside village. Easy parking in garden.

Everything! What a really pleasant experience. We did not know beforehand what a pretty little medieval town we were going to be staying in. Wonderful to have parking within the hotel walls. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. Definitely good value for money and would definitely recommend.

Would have liked to have been able to hang up the shower head.

Everything at Il Viillino is great, the building and the garden surrounding it are fantastic, the rooms are amazing, redecorated with great taste and very comfortable, I would not go anywhere else when I’m in the area, I stopped going because I went to live in another continent but I’m very happy to be back !

    9CarriePosted on: 3-31-2023

The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast included a broad number of options. The central location was excellent for exploration of the town on foot.
