Hotel Villa Calandrino

Great property with potential.

The property needs maintenance, refreshment and the cleanliness lacks a bit.

Excelent location, pool, calm atmosphere, close to beach and center by car, recomendation from receptionist, cleaning service, nice place to stay if you prefer to chill, sleep and have Italian atmosphere, with near by local passticeria with good cakes and coffee. Not many tourist around, this is the place where you catch Italian life style out of busy cities. Place i can recomend, deffinitely worth to come again. Thanks for lovely experience.

Well, as we were on holiday we expect to have possibilities to have longer breakfast not just till 9:30, and as well cleaning service should not starts between 10 and 12. When ussually people on holiday are preparing for beach time after breakfast etc. And as well breakfast was very poor: one kind of salamy, cheese, ham, few cakes bought in store some of them were the same for 3 days old. But anyway coffee was nice and as well fruits. Maybe what could help with breakfast, as people like my doesnt lile sweet breakfast would be some eggs and little vegie( tomato, cucumber ). Vegie in Sicily is so cheap not such investment.

Sadly this perhaps was a 4 star hotel once, but the services offered as of today do not reflect that status .We only stayed one night and , within that night, there was a problem with electricity resulting in no hot water ( problem was solved after 20:00 when my husband and I already left for dinner after a cold shower ) I appreciated the lady owner apologising for it at the moment and that was it.The Wi-Fi also did not work for the entire day of yesterday and was working this morning of our check out . We arrived at 13:30 yesterday and there wasn’t any type of food available at the premises. I am 7 months pregnant and had to head to the supermarket nearby , never happened before in a 4 star hotel .Selection of beauty products in the bathroom were what you expect on a 3 star hotel , at breakfast the yoghurt was warm and fruit juices of cheap quality and only two types. The experience at check out was terrible to say the least. I pointed out the discomforts during our one night stay , after saying that premises and staff were lovely, and the lady owner started shouting at me that I was offending her and her hotel and that she would not take any comments . Childish and immature behaviour to say the least so I left as there was no point to continue the conversation.I want to thank Francesca which was delightful to liaise with but the lady owner needs a reality check and to learn to listen to criticisms to improve her business . To be precise: in 10 years of travelling using booking.con this is the first time I write a review of such tone, so you take the conclusions .

The Villa in itself is nice, however it needs maintenance.It has a pool which was still out of season to use.Lidl is just next door.

The internet was very weak.Breakfast was mostly sweets and limited time ( 8- 9.30am)No restaurant, apparently after Covid, it closed.

Nice & away but 7mins close to town

It's winter & needs some outdoor upgrading

The pool and location of the hotel to visit the whereabouts was just right. The parking area was secure and ideal for us.
