Hotel Bessunger Forst

We came back to the hotel after 9 one evening hoping to find a glass of wine and some food. But the entire restaurant, which is very large, was rented out. We weren't able to get anything to eat, finally found someone who sold us a bottle of wine, a glass would have sufficed.

Location, good breakfast, restaurant was available in the hotel, and the dinner chosen was very good. Warm decoration in the reception area.

I wish if a coffee machine were also available in the room.

It was very comfortable and clean; the restaurant was fantastic.

A very minor point, the shower head in the bathroom was not adjustble, but we did not make a complain as we had stayed only one night there.

It's a beautiful, the views and the hotel is very nice. The staff is incredibly nice and the restaurant is amazing!!

Breakfast was the best part. Dinner was very slow and low quality. The room was extremely clean and very spacious.

Dinner took a long time and was disappointing when it did arrive.

In a quiet location, perfect for some rest. The hotel is however a bit dated. Some parts are modernised (furniture in the restaurant and reception) but some parts are quite old (hotel room, bathroom, hallway), which make it a weird combination. The food in the restaurant was good! We got a lot full plate, which was lovely.

The level of English could be much improved in the hotel. At the reception it was kind of alright. But the level of English in the restaurant was terrible. Education could definitely help. Of course the hotel is in Germany, but basic good English is a requirement in hospitality in my opinion. Plus in the restaurant the person who helped us was not experienced in working in a restaurant, which is not the main problem, since you have the learn it of course. But she was the only one who we saw in the beginning of the evening. So she was alone. After a while we saw the manager (we think), but his experience in gastronomy was doubtful. Breakfast is not really special. We choose this hotel also based on breakfast reviews. While there was a lot of choice the quality could be better of the food.

Great location, nice room, excellent breakfast

The property was beautiful and clean. The rooms were a good size & well appointed. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options. We ate lunch at the restaurant as well and it too was good. Check in process was very easy.

The in room refrigerators did not get cold in any of the 3 rooms our family had. When we inquired at the front desk if there was something that needed to be done so they would cool we were told to “ask a manager” which was frustrating especially for those that had medication requiring refrigeration.

Staff is friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Room is so big and clean.

The bed was not best for us. No caffee maker in the room and not air-conditioner. Fridge not cooling enough.

Location was great, friendly staff, very clean rooms and excellent restaurant!

It's a very nice hotel in the fields. The surrounding is simply great — a good old German village environment. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom equipment was of the highest quality and shiny clean. The restaurant of the hotel is very good too. Quiet, clean, and cosy. Next time we'll stay there for longer time.

Free car park at the hotel premises Friendly staffLovely breakfast with various options Nice view

Good room with clean bathroom.Breakfast was ok.

I booked a room with one 2-sides wide bed; when I arrived, the room had 2 single-sides beds far apart from each other. When I asked the front desk for a room change, they told me that all the rooms are like that (?) and if I wanted she could help me put the beds together. This was anyway not possible due to the bed's side table hanged on the wall.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms, recommend to all who are looking for a very nice place to stay. Very welcoming staff, highly recommend!

The stuff was very nice! The breakfast had everything! I loved it!
