    Pros +

    • Very calm and authentic place. Breakfasts are really good with nice view on Etna . We took both cooking classes and wine and food degustation. And both experiences were amazing. During cooking classes, chef showed us how to cook local dishes, and it was not hard at all. Degustation Dinner with the wine was amazing! Tiramisu with orange was best I tried! Definitely worth to try! I’m not very good expert in wine but it was good too. I would like to thank a lot for Isabelle who helped us to get more familiar with the Sicily , gave us a lot of suggestions what to do and where to go and all of them were very useful.
    • The property is beautiful and serene. The pool overlooking Etna on a very long travel day was spectacular. The rooms spotless, the food amazing. And the staff AMAZING!!
    • We were looking for a peaceful, quiet retreat in the countryside to unwind and enjoy great food—and that’s exactly what we found. The location is quite remote, so the only way to get there is by car. We highly recommend renting a car or using your own, as relying on taxis can get expensive. There is ample parking available, with the added bonus of solar panels covering the parked cars. The staff were incredibly friendly, spoke excellent English, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in a Double Room with a Terrace. In addition to the main entrance, the room had its own private entry through a gate. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning actually worked, which is a rarity in many hotels. The room was a lovely mix of old-world charm and modern amenities, with the original flooring from the monastery adding a special touch. The only downside was the small bathroom, and the shower had a slow drain, but it didn’t detract too much from the overall experience.Breakfast was simple yet delicious. While the variety wasn’t extensive, everything we had was fresh and satisfying: scrambled eggs, homemade polpette, flans, Sicilian pastries, and cakes. You could also order eggs to your liking, along with freshly squeezed grapefruit and blood orange juice, and any coffee you wanted. We dined at the hotel for both lunch and dinner, and while the menu was small with similarly-sized portions, the quality and flavor were exceptional. However, note that there are no snack shops or stores nearby, so it’s a good idea to bring your own snacks and water if you plan on staying on the property.Although we didn’t use the pool because it was still a bit too cold, it appeared to be a good size, albeit shallow. The surroundings were incredibly tranquil, with fields of olive and citrus trees, vines, and even some animals like bees, chickens, tortoises, and cats.

    Cons -

    • Nothing to dislike.
    • 1km of the road straight to the hotel is in potholes
    • In general, everything was good. However, it was unusual that the duvet on the bed was dressed between two sheets instead of the duvet cover. I think it's not 100 percent hygienic. I don't know who is responsible for the road before the hotel, but it should be nicely done. It's all a road with potholes.

The breakfast was good, also we had two evenings of dinner. The food is fresh and tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was nice and quiet. We chose it because we wanted to stay out of the city. It would be perfect for someone who wants to enjoy the countryside.I will be back there someday.

This charming farm hotel, nestled amidst vibrant orange groves, provides a truly unique and unforgettable experience. A highlight of our stay was the stunning view of Mt. Etna, majestically blanketed in snow during January—a breathtaking sight that added a magical touch to the serene setting. The breakfast was exceptional, featuring fresh, farm-sourced ingredients that were both delicious and satisfying. The hotel also boasts a first-class restaurant, offering incredible dishes that further elevated our experience. The staff was outstanding—a diverse, welcoming, and knowledgeable team, clearly proud of this hidden gem. Their professionalism and excellent training ensured every aspect of our stay was perfect.

During our stay, a severe storm hit the area, resulting in frequent power outages and limited internet access for most of our visit. While this was beyond the hotel's control, the staff remained apologetic and made every effort to address the issues, though with limited success. On the bright side, the lack of internet contributed to a quieter, more restful atmosphere, which we ultimately appreciated despite the inconvenience

It is a good open property with no other property around. So overall it is a quiet place to relax and enjoy some sunshine.

The facilities were a bit run down, the finishes in our suite missed on quality, and they didn’t quite have a hot breakfast. No kitchen staff present at the time of breakfast, food being served were from night before or even day(s) before.Unfortunately, we ended stayed in a suite near the main entrance, and we ended up hearing the security camera beeping sounds all night long and hearing the staff coming into the main building early in the mornings.

It's calm and peaceful and only 20 minutes from the airport. Spotless and comfortable. Fabulous restaurant. Lovely pool and gardens.Very close to main roads to head inland or up and down the coast.

On flight path into airport so planes go overhead every few minutes. If that bothers you. Didn't bother us.Would love to be able to make a cup of tea in the room.

Evening four course meals were a real treat, beautifully served

We spent the first night in the main bedroom with high ceiling and chandelier. This was very dark with little natural light - not unlike a prison cell! The bedroom we moved to was great with good views out over the olives

Beautiful setting, very well decorated, fantastic pool

    9AliciaPosted on: 9-21-2024

Delicious breakfast, lots of options but it would be nice to have eggs cooked of your choice.

Some sound between rooms, the pool area could be made a little prettier

Quiet peaceful setting .. perfect after busy days sightseeing. We were really well looked after by all the staff and enjoyed the great breakfasts and evening meals .It’s a great location for sightseeing with easy access key roads .. tho iin a quiet location

    10GeorgePosted on: 9-11-2024

The staff were amazing! They were welcoming, helpful, and always available to make our stay comfortable. They even ask you to request food and drink by the pool via WhatsApp, which is very convenient. The hotel is beautiful; small, cosy, very charming, and well-designed. Nestled amongst vineyards and olive groves, the property used to be a monastery where monks would make their own wines. We enjoyed trying and learning about all the different wines. They make their own olive oil too, which is delicious! The restaurant offers a great menu of local dishes, all made with local produce.

The only downside is that there’s nothing around, so staying here is definitely a conscious choice to be remote. However, the hotel offers everything you might need, and if you have a car, there are nearby towns and villages to visit.

We loved everything about this hotel! The view, the pool, the service, the food, the wine, the decor - everything!

There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel!

    10ChrisPosted on: 7-10-2024

Lovely grounds and setting looking straight at Etna. Great pool and enough loungers for everyone. The staff are first class and super friendly. The Hotel also grows much of its own produce

    7AndrewPosted on: 6-14-2024

Clean and well maintained. Nice pool (shallow) and great view of Etna.

Fairly limited breakfast choice. There is an unloved dog and several cats wandering around the property.
