- Amazing hospitality - of all the hotels we stayed at during our trip the staff was the nicest here, but we missed the detail that the reception closes at 6pm. They had the good foresight to call us 2 hours before close to inform us but, unfortunately, we just weren't going to make that time.Luckily, the hotel owner's son Martin was nice enough to come back to the hotel after closing hours to personally check us in. He helped us take all our bags up and down the castle stairs to our room and left the wellness open for another 2 hours so we could still enjoy it, (had it entirely to ourselves) then let us check out late the next day so we could actually have some time to tour the castle. When we checked out, Zuzanna couldn't have been nicer and gave us some souvenir magnets to remember the trip by.I only spoke with the two staff since we were only there for one night but they both spoke great English.Just beware if you have trouble with stairs, there's a lot.
- This stay was a luxury stay all the way through. The Bed was massive and so soft, best sleep we had on the trip. The castle is beautiful ? The staff were so helpful and kind, they spoke English where most places we stayed in Slovakia could not so it was really helpful. They had a book of ideas of places to see in the area. The room is in a castle and you can explore it at any time. It was so fun. We absolutely LOVED this castle. It is quiet and you have the grounds to yourself in the off season. The breakfast is about 10euros, and had lots of meats and cheeses to choose from some bread and such like a typical European breakfast, buffet style from 8-10am.
- I have always wanted to stay in a Castle ? ❤️ The room was huge and comfortable. The Castle was beyond my expectations. The value was there too.
Cons -
- Nothing, this place was paradise.
- Nothing, as an American we were really impressed with how welcoming the people of Slovakia ?? can be.
- Not a single thing not to like. A/c not available but the night was cool, so all good with the windows open. No refrigerator.

Amazing stay in a unbelievable and unique location. It is hard for this American to believe that people are allowed to spend the night in a castle that is over 400 years old! Parts of the ruins here date back to the 1300s! The owner has done a beautiful job with the renovation. Rooms are comfortable with all of the modern amenities! After hours you are allowed to roam the grounds and enter many of the rooms and climb the tower. Words cannot express how much we enjoyed the stay.

The room was in the old section of the building, was large and had old world charm.
We did lose power which took us some time to find someone to help as there was not a 24 hour reception or security
The historical environment. The decor, furniture and artefacts all in keeping with its history . A very unique place to stay. The bar and restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful. A short drive from our hotel to the lakes and spectacular scenery.
Perhaps a greater selection of cooked items for breakfast.
Beautifully restored manor house adjoining a castle. We had a suite which was very spacious, three rooms with bathroom. There was a small kitchen setup with a sink and kettle in the first room, a lounge room and a huge bedroom with desk. The bed was very comfy. The place is beautifully decorated with period pieces and antiques. Wifi was very good, surprisingly considering the thick walls. We really enjoyed our stay.
There was no shower in the bathroom, you had to stand up in the claw bathtub with a hand shower. Not everyone’s cup of tea but probably in the spirit of the period. Better to settle for a bath.
Nice venue for hotel with a large and comfortable room. Nice spa facilities and friendly staff.
Spa was not open in the mornings which was disappointing. Bar closed before 9pm which was also a miss for me.
Beautiful housing, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast!
It is really an amazing experience to spend fee nights in the real castle… although staff refusef to tell us scary stories before bedtime.
Well standard check in time till 18:00 in 4* hotel is domething we really did not expect
Location, castle, small town, kind people
Nice little and well re-built castle. Great staff, large rooms with just the right atmosphere. And great with the pool and spa areas as well.
Friendly staff and family atmosphere
You feel like at home no need to lock the door
ducks in a pond
breakfast room was too small. not much to choose from. chairs were dirty in the breakfast are.
the wellness area is excellent features of the castle are lovely Man in charge of the restaurant was pleasant na positive. Receptionist was nice the viewthe garden
Missed opportunities. the bed is extremely uncomfortable an investment in a proper mattress wouldn’t go a miss. The bath is beautiful but really you need to have a proper shower we booked the hotel as a rest-bite of driving take a day read our books. the corridors are stone cold there is no lounge. the bar is not pleasant. loud music poor decor and table cloths that trying to fit in with a “castle” are dark and dingy. Breakfast reminded me of a petit-dejunee in a 2 star hotel in France in the 1990. food was not memorable the courtyard outside the bar must be nice in the summer
Beautiful location, Castle and facilities nicely restored and decorated. Friendly reception. Guests may look around everywhere. Plenty of parking space
The building itself is very impressiveThe locationWe wanted to leave before the breakfast so the staff prepared packages for us which was very nice
The number of corridors, doors and narrow passages to go from parking lot to the roomBreakfast from 8 AMThe spa is very little and when we were there, someone from the staff came and started cleaning the floor using some powerful cleaning agent with a sharp smell
We had a great time at the castle, it was a magical stay, a taste of the past. The complex it self was interesting and the reception advised us to go and explore the place, and we did, enjoyed it. The was big, very clean, very comfortable bed, the shower was nice supplied with shower gel shampoo bathrobes etc. Good and tasty breakfast.
It felt like the hotel was understaffed, in the wellness we had to operate the sauna and jacuzzi ourselves, the bar had a small variety of drinks (just two wines red and white and one kind of beer a bit overpriced). At breakfast we came 30 min after opening and a lot of things were empty, we had to ask specifically to make more for us. We didn't get silverware, had to get it my self. Overall had an interesting experience, and pleasant time.
Places is great..nice breakfast. Room is big and beautiful. Loved the place.
The gym needs to be updated.
We love it!One of the most special night i had. Staying in a castle is just special! The room is very clean and comfortable, and we love the bathtub.Best thing is you are able to walk around and explore the castle by yourself without any charges.Restaurant provides good food too!The young lady at the front desk is very helpful and friendly! (Sorry we didn't manage to get her name)
Everything is perfect and is highly recommended to all travellers!
