K-Apart Hotel & Boardinghouse

Great rooms, very comfortable beds, excellent breakfast. The restaurant was a good place for dinner and drinks after touring Cologne.

This hotel is best only if you are travelling by car. Public transportation (train) from Hurth into Cologne is not easy for a foreigner to sort out. No information board at the platforms, no updates on train status, and no help available.

Clean and ccomfortable rooms, with late checkin option through checkin machine. Spacious room, comfortable bed. Easy communication with hosts through chat bot. Did not take breakfast, so cannot comment on that.

Without airco, it was difficult to cool the room, temperature stayed at 25 degrees, which was much warmer than outside temperature at night. We switched on the fan in the room which helped a bit. Other thing is about the time needed to reach Koln city cente by train. Frienly staff explained how to go to Koln city center by train, we did not expect to be waiting 40 minutes for the train to arrive on a Monday morning, so whole trip to the city center took an hour, for a distance that is around 8 kms.

The check-in machine was not working. there was a problem with the room key . We asked for help from the reception . The man from the reception helped us with the key he was helpful with a smile and good attitude. They clean the room every day. The location is good with free parking. When I did the checkout. There was lady. I gave her the key . She never smiled and asked about our stay she was not nice

The property was clean, modern, very comfortable, and great location.

The *room* was *spacious enough for a family of four*, which was great. We had plenty of space to move around, and the basic amenities were there.- The hotel offers *free parking*, which is always a bonus, and the parking lot is *large and spacious*.- The location, although somewhat isolated, could be convenient for those traveling by car as it’s easy to park and access.

- The room was *cold at night*, and unfortunately, there was no *extra duvet* provided, which made it uncomfortable, especially for *small kids*. I reported the issue through *Booking.com message center*, but there was no response or follow-up, which was disappointing.- The *breakfast experience* was a major letdown. Despite booking breakfast at the *reception* for *27€ for two adults*, when we arrived in the morning, there was *no food left*. The breakfast area was also *cold* and lacked any atmosphere, making it feel very unwelcoming. Additionally, the *receptionist* didn't greet us or offer any basic customer service, which made us feel like we were bothering her. When we noticed the lack of food, we asked for a *refund*, but the receptionist initially claimed that they couldn’t refund us because the breakfast had been booked through an *external company* (something we were never informed of). After some lengthy negotiations, they finally agreed to refund us, but the whole process was confusing, especially since the conversation was conducted in *German*, and no alternative language was offered.- The *customer service* throughout our stay was lacking. Upon *checking out*, the receptionist didn’t even ask if we enjoyed our stay or offer any basic courtesy. It felt very impersonal and unprofessional.

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and provided a pleasant stay. The rooms were well-maintained, and the staff was friendly. Ideal for those seeking a quiet, relaxing spot outside the city center.

The location is best suited for those traveling by car, as it is about 15-20 minutes from Köln.

Couldn’t find a way to turn down the heated floor. Room temperature is bit warm for us.

The wonderful Christmas decorations! Very friendly and helpful staff, easy access and parking, close to train link to Koln, comfy rooms, good WiFi.

Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom facilities were very good. Blinds allowed for privacy. Self check in was very straight forward and check out was very easy.

Location was a bit far from the city Center and difficult to find the check in point due to poor lighting at the front of the building, so we went to building 2 first as the sign is visible from the roadway. Light in bathroom comes through the bathroom door at night as it is made of glass. Blinds did not close fully, couldn’t find wifi password in the room.

Close to train, good sized room and clean. Staff were friendly.

I have been here before, very good rain showers have been replaced by disastrous ordinary showers. To save water? It doesn't do anything because you have to wait longer for the soap to rinse which causes even more water consumption.

Nothing everything was good

The location was perfect for us, because it was located outside of Köln and close to Phantasialand. The bed was really comfortable.

The breakfast was okay, but definitely not worth the extra 14€. In the room next to us someone was smoking, which was a horrible smell to wake up to, especially because my wife is pregnant. It was clear the smoke was coming from the cleaners room. Also, the rooms are quite noisy, it sounds like the upstairs neighbors were walking on clogs.

The hotel was good and met my expectations. The breakfast was excellent. The location is a bit far from Cologne's city center, but it’s easily accessible via public transport.

I felt that the heating could be improved. Accessing the Wi-Fi password was not straightforward—I had to contact reception for it. Fortunately, they were quick to assist once I reached out.

The ladies in the dining hall were exception. Though we do not speak German, but they explained the dishes to us, & knew what our tastes since we were there for 2 weeks.Thank you ladies !!!Nice huge gym with plenty of exercise equipment.
