Taste Hotel Hockenheim

We’re been in a group of 4 people in two rooms, and the rooms were connected with a door, that was amazing!

The shower drain was clogged with hair, and the water wouldn’t go down. Disgusting.

The hotel has an excellent location within the town and was not too far from the train station. The breakfast buffet was nice.

This hotel is not air-conditioned! I was shocked that a chain hotel in 2025 did not have air-conditioning. Thank goodness our trip was not during the worst of the heatwave. To make matters worse, we had to leave our windows open for cooling off at night, and the church chimes woke us up often. When we asked to be moved to the other side of the hotel, the man at the desk was not helpful at all.

The hotel is is very close to restaurants. The lady from the reception was very friendly and helpful. The room is very spacious, the bed is very comfortable.

Unfortunately, the wifi is incredibly bad. The signal was almost inexistent.

Hotel is ok but receiption staff at checkout worst ever

The person checking us out (he was wearing a cap and had a small beard) first ignored us completely so we left. A bit later he checked us out and didnt say a word. He is a real bad asset for this hotel and is the reason for this bad review

We liked the attic family room! It's huge and a lot of space. It was clean and has a fridge and Coffee/Tea station. We got there late at night from a long drive and the self check-in tablet is very convenient.The location is only a 15-min drive to the speyer technic museum. Breakfast was also nice and the lady in the reception is very friendly! Free underground parking is a plus.

The elevator was not working when we were there.

Breakfast was self service but really nice. Fresh Breads and lots to choose from.

I liked everything about the hotel.

I arrived on Sunday and the WiFi was inaccessible that day. There was no one from the staff present or any information about the WiFi at the reception desk or in the room. The mattress on the bed was good, the pillow too flat , no extra blanket or pillow available. The door to the bathroom was warped and did not close. Otherwise the room was spacious the bathroom renovated and clean. The breakfast good too. One big disadvantage of a very central location : the bell on the tower. It started to ring at 5 or 6am and it rang every 30min! Horrible. Not possible sleep through it.

The location. But that was more for sentimental reasons. We lived in Hockenheim over 30 years ago and we wanted to back to visit the area. It’s also centrally located - just 30 minutes from Heidelberg and other local areas

Reception was open even out of hours, room clean and well equipped, bed comfortable, breakfast good.

No need for your alarm clock with the church bells. Message from hotel with directions for entry out of hours could be in English not only German

Large, good breakfast, good shower, big badroom. Good location. free car garage, nice staff.

Familyroom is on the top floor, very hot, it was about 28 degrees inside when outside it was also 28, even in the early morning when it was outside cooled down to 17 it still was 28 inside because all the walls and roof and floor still are 28. Really need an small airco in that room. The second doublebed is to small.

Very good choice for breakfast, very friendly staff at check-in. Possibility to store bicycles in the hotel garage.

Free underground parking just a few metres away.Appreciable staff welcome at 9pm.Good breakfast included which raises the bill.City centre location.

Our attic room, although very spacious, lacked air circulation. With no air-conditioning (only a fan available), the night was suffocating despite the open windows. 1 window was broken and cannot close it, leaving dampness in the room.Generally speaking, carpets everywhere in the hotel don't help.Be careful, the restaurants in the area have kitchens that close early (around 9.30pm maximum).

Great location with parking and amenities in walking distance. Staff friendly. Nice size room. The bathroom was even bigger than expected with both shower and bath tub. You could make a nice coffee and tea in the coffee machine. Everything is nice and clean.

For a huge family room, the room is big enough to have a double bed and 2 single beds instead of a not that comfortable sofa bed. Also, for someone wanting to stay longer would need more shelf unit storage for a whole family.

Breakfast was fine, with multiple choices of Fruit and a good space in and outside.

No air-conditioning in the rooms which was not comfortable to sleep in with current weather conditions

Bad

Booked the property after working hours as it was available to book. Hence, I wasn’t able to checkin and get the service. Yet, the hotel refuses to return money

Very friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, free indoor parking and a filled fridge when the bar is closed.
