Great place in central Trapani! Close walk to the harbour, bus stops, main streets. The room was spacious for two, equipped well with all needed including kitchenette for cooking meals, AC was great and so was the bathroom. The morning breakfast was really good with inclusion of fruits and some sicilian items. Easy to find, check in and communication with staff was excellent - really recommended.

The town is so beautiful..Friendly people with peaceful area..Visiting Trapani is strongly recommended

Perfect location in the historic center of Trapani, close to the main attractions. We had a room with a balcony to enjoy wine outside. Good continental breakfast with ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yogurt, sweets, and fruits

Excellent choice. Spacious, modern room with a bit of personalisation. Wifi and hot water fine. Coffee machine. The side street is pretty quiet - as much as you can expect in a town. Very pleasant manager. Good breakfast selection. Bars and restaurants are a few steps away. Handy for the Palermo bus stop (port).

Very welcoming receptionist, Elena, who also set up breakfast and prepared coffee for us. Room was large with high ceilings and a small balcony from which you could look both left and right and see the sea. The bathroom had everything and the air-conditioning worked well. The room had wooden beams and the floor antique tiles which added to its charm. There was a lift which was useful for taking luggage upstairs. It was in a quiet street in the old town convenient for everything, just a minutes walk to the port for Liberty Ferries to Favignana and the bus stop opposite which takes you to Agrigento and longer distances. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.

Great hotel. Interesting location. After breakfast we went for a walk to the port and the fish market. The room has a kettle, glasses and cups (+ everything you need to make tea). Very friendly staff, helped with organizing a transfer for an early flight from Birgi.

My stay at Porta delle Botteghelle was absolutely wonderful. The best part of my stay there was the exceptional staff. Everyone was super friendly, from the cleaning ladies to the people serving breakfast and especially the people at the reception. Elena gave me such a warm welcome and you could really tell that she wants her guests to have an amazing time. I highly recommend the place!

Issue with air conditioning on last night

Very nice and well maintained building in the heart of city center, near the port and the beach. Walking distance from the bus stop to Palermo, airport and Erice, and also from the terminal to take the ferry to Favignana. Room was comfortable for a family of 4. Breakfast was great! And they have a lift, which is rare in these kind of buildings. Staff was always there to help and it was no issue for us on the last day. We could checkout, leave the bags, and then come back later and use bathroom to freshen up and change to go to the airport.

We were very pleased with the hotel and especially the staff. The hotel is located in the center of the old town. Sound insulation is good. The room is clean and camphorous. The staff is very friendly! We arrived early, but were upgraded to a superior room as it was available. We also had an early flight and they prepared breakfast for us to take with us, which was very nice! Thank you very much for your concern!!))

If you buy coffee and some pastries in the nearby bakery (the same street at the end of it) you can enjoy it at the balcony ;)

Ceiling in the room was so high I hade a problem to kill one mosquite which was ruining my sleep.

Breakfast - small range of options

We had a superb selection at breakfast - both sweet and savoury. Excellent coffee. Pierra and Elena were perfect hostesses for all aspects of our stay - warm welcome initially, help with recommendations of trips and restaurants, and any questions we had were answered. The location of the hotel is very central, with many restaurants and shops nearby.

Most impressive was the English-speaking receptionist Elena who helped me find bus schedules and gave directions on how to get from the airport to the hotel. The location is convenient for bus transportation to Palermo, the airport, the port, as well as Erice. The room, #301 was large and comfortable. There is a lift which is convenient if you have luggage. There are several restaurants nearby and places to walk in the historic area. Breakfast was excellent and begins at 7:30 a.m. a great choice if you are staying in Trapani.

This was our second time at this hotel. We liked everything about it--staff is absolutely wonderful, room is comfy and spacious, location great, many delcious choices at breakfast.
