- I arrived around 23:00 after a long drive from southern Spain, eager for a quick shower and a restful night before another long journey in the summer heat. To my dismay, the air-conditioning in the room was not functioning, leaving the interior like an oven.Over the course of that evening, I made no fewer than five lengthy trips—each involving a 150 m walk from the newly opened satellite wing to your reception desk—seeking a room with functioning A/C. Although the reception clerk was as helpful as he could be and visibly embarrassed by the situation, the first two substitute rooms offered only fan mode with hot air.He ultimately provided me with a set of 10 room keys as the last resort, I eventually tried a total of eight or nine rooms before finding one with cooling that worked—only at past 1 AM.Even then, basic provisions were missing: there were no glasses or cups, the tap water was lukewarm and undrinkable, and the shower curtain collapsed with the slightest touch (see the attached photo). By the time I finally went to sleep, it was 3 AM—far from the peaceful rest I had anticipated.
