Great Location, nice Clean, Rooms

It was clean and modern (we were in the newer building, not the old one in the ad), had nice large lifts, helpful and pleasant staff, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower was luxurious. The breakfast selections were fresh and varied. The hotel is beautifully central to all attractions and businesses.

The Location is perfect . The building is beautiful inside and out . Valet parking is a great option for which I was very grateful . The hotel was perfectly quiet , the room nr. 14 spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent and staff is very friendly and professional.

The front desk staff was very professional and courteous. The room and bathroom was brand new, spacious and very clean/comfortable. Centrally located to shops, churches and restaurants.

If anything, the breakfast could have offered different types of eggs. Overall excellent quality food and roomy dining area.

Fantastic location right in the center of the old town. Staff exceptional and helpful! Great breakfast! We stayed in the original building right across the street from the new building and loved its charm & history!

Excellent location in the heart of Altstadt, very modern updated accommodations and all of the staff exceptional! We also ate at the restaurant and it was spectacular!

Everything was wonderful. Therese was wonderful and a pleasure to work with. Breakfast was one of the best we had in all of Germany. Staff was kind and accommodating.

Location, room, great restaurant.

I have visited Dinkelsbuhl many times over the past 25 years...the village is a wonderfully preserved , walled medieval gem, so just being there is a joy....however, my stay at the Deutches Haus, where I have stayed in the past, was a big disappointment.

The check-in is now 3 houses down the street from the hotel, which is another 15th century structure that is was gutted and stripped of all character and totally lacking any charm....it is a modern, space-age lobby like a new Holiday Inn..faceless and sterile.The new owner, who was at reception when I checked in, was business-like and brusque, but a staff person did carry my suitcase to my room (I am 76 and have mobility problems).I then went to my room in the "old" gasthaus and was shocked to see once again, an insensitive "modernization" of the facilities...the bathroom, which once had elegant porcelain fixtures, is now all glass and modern like so many new hotels. The mirror has a digital clock inset ....these are not the things I want when I choose a place dated from the 1400's. My windows looked at the roof of the building next door....the worst one ever of all my stays here. I called the desk and the only other room was a suite for 50 Euros more....well, I was here, and decided to splurge - at least the windows opened to the street and I could now hear the bells much better. I tried to connect my laptop to the WiFi ( I am a professional musician on tour and keep in touch with my wife through email daily ) The owner came and could not get it connected. He showed me his handi and said "Mine is connected OK"...well....that sure did not help me. I had to take my computer to the "new" building three doors down in order to get a signal.Leaning out my window after returning to my room, I noticed the sills were really dirty....something that would never have been in my previous stays...the drinking glasses were clean, but not spotless, which, when you are staying even at the most modest of gasthauses in Germany are a point of pride - and should especially be so at one of the ritziest places in the village.The foot-operated waste can in the bathroom was broken.

Incredible chance to stay in a historic building dating back centuries and situated within a few yards of the medieval church. The breakfast was excellent, better than average. The lady managing the breakfast was extremely helpful. Everybody anxious to please. Only minus was that the sports center wasn't open, so I took a long walk around the walls through the park and read the signs explaining the Thirty Years War.

We were upgraded to the newest hotel that was very comfortable and clean with a lovely breakfast included.

Very clean and in a great location close to restaurants.

We had a beautiful, clean room overlooking the main street. We were there for vacation and it was great to be so centrally located within the town. The service was exceptional and we would definitely stay there again.

We were upgraded upon arrival and also given the option to move to the new wing. The staff were very courteous and went out of their way to be helpful! Breakfast was a good spread.

The restaurant in the new hotel could have done with better service.

Extremely comfortable hotel, beautiful decoration, beautiful location and building, as well as highly efficient and nice staff. Hope to come back!
