The place and the old building

I love everything

Located in the heart of the old town, within the religious compound, this is a very authentic no-frills place to stay. The rooms are simple, but very clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is definitely the high point of this property. I also appreciated the coffee machine with two complementary capsules. The cleaning lady is very dedicated to her work and does an impeccable job.

The rooms that face the street can be noisy because there is a public market every morning (except for Sundays) which begins quite early. The doors of the rooms tend to “slam” when closed so that could be another source of noise if you have light sleep

I hadn't realised there was no reception, so when I arrived at the entrance it was locked and I couldn't enter. There was a telephone number which didn't work. I tried calling another number and finally got through and into the property. All very stressful!The room was comfortable, but a little cold as heating didn't work.It was possible to get out to view the cloister and garden from above which was fantastic and you could sit out there and admire it. I would definitely return now I know how to get into the property.

The cleanliness and location

Instructions for arrival could have been clearer. We had to wait for someone to leave to get in and another to call the owner as my ohonefrom England wouldn't work.

No A/CMaybe I failed to understand there was no A/C in the middle of summer. Impossible to take a nap in the middle of the day

Beautiful location but the room was very small, no air conditioner, very hot, small bad, did not meet the staff at all. Overall the price was expensive for what It was.

beds were not comfortable, kitchen could be a bit improved, we arrived in the evening, and there were no clear instructions to how to enter or where the room is exactly located.

The property has a very nice location and a beautiful building.The room was very clean with the basic things towels , toiletries as shampoo and shower gel.

We had problems about the door of the room for some reason reasons was difficult to close and open the key.The room was very hot and noisy. We could hear very well the people next our room. The small ventilator what we had in the room couldn’t manage to make the room more cooler.Unfortunately there was nobody to ask something in the reception cuz we haven’t seen stuff there.Overall the stay was nice but kinda overpriced due of circumstances , it should have some things fixed to reach the price what we payed. 850€ for 6 nights without anything included .

The fantastic location, the beautiful vue from the bedroom on the cloister, coffee and tea facilities, use of communal room and fridge, cleanliness. The staff was very polite and helpful.

The location was absolutely amazing. It was fantastic to be right in the very centre of the historic old part of the City. Everything was so handy and close and it was great to feel really part of that.The view from the room into the centre of the building was incredible.We liked being able to practice yoga on the terrace outside and to have seats outside to relax.The room service was excellent and the room was beautifully cleaned and beds made every day. We didn't expect that and it was great. The cleaning staff were friendly and polite and cheerful.Communication was very clear and quick with management and they were helpful too.

The breakfast room and catering facilities were poor.It was good that there was a fridge and a kettle but there was nothing else really - no crockery, no mugs, no cutlery, no washing facilities, no cooking facilities other than two toasters and a very small microwave.This meant that it was almost impossible to eat more than a piece of toast or a pastry and a cup of tea or coffee. But that was difficult without anything more than paper cups. For us, we would probably choose another venue because we would want to be able sometimes to eat in rather than always having to eat out. It makes the holiday much more expensive.

Excellent location, clean, hot shower, possibility to prepare food in a communal room and eat it on the terrace. Would highly recommend, was perfect for a stay in the old town.

Great location, appreciated having water and coffee. Only met staff right before leaving, but they were nice. Overall pleasant stay.

Check in procedure should be communicated beforehand. Also found a few papers in the room for us to fill in even though no one told us to. Only found out how to pay local taxes right before we left. Bed is very hard. Doors way too loud.

Located in centre of Ciutadella in a beautiful old building.

The room does not have AC. They have installed super big fans that are very noisy. The sound from the street is loud at night and early mornings, with the bad window sealings it wa hard to sleep. Not the right choice for a peaceful getaway

I think it meets the expectations for someone who seen already the photos here on booking. The builiding is very beautiful. The location is also great, right in the center of Ciutadella, where you have access to a lot of buses that can go to other parts of the island. The room is very simple, but it has what you need for a stay of few days. The beds are made every day and towels are changed every 2 days. There is also a shared room with a microwave, a fridge, a coffee machine and a kettle for anyone who wants to use them.

Hotel doesn’t have any reception available on weekends so I arrived after long ferry journey unable to get into building. This was not mentioned by the hotel before (a quick message informing guests of this would resolve this. Don’t accept bookings if you can’t support them..). Fortunately a friendly cleaner helped me, despite language differences. But I did worry I would have to look for alternative accommodation. The only contact I had from reception/management was the next morning where they were unfriendly and demanded I paid the tourist tax before I left. Rooms are hot, basic and uncomfortable. Way overpriced.
