Hotel Boutique Castiglione del Lago

Paulo and Matteo were WONDERFUL Hosts. The hotel was spotless, quiet, and comfortable. Perfectly located, we never needed to leave our street. Nearby restaurants were excellant. Rarely is a place a "10"...this one truly is.

Only thing was a little disappointed I couldn’t access the roof terrace. Next time I would try to book room with jacuzzi and roof terrace included.

The property was as described: off the beaten path in a medieval monastery/convent with beautiful rooms. Breakfast was very good and dinner in the restaurant superb. Staff very helpful.

Not much could be better except for our physical conditioning. The walk from reception to our unit was tough for 70 yr old folks. It is what it is.

We loved everything about this property, the owner, staff, and location. If you are anywhere near Castiglione del Lago, this boutique hotel is a must. We felt like honored guests here. Paolo and his family made our stay so comfortable and welcoming we didn't want to leave!

We treated ourselves to the room with terrace and pool (jacuzzi) and it was splendid!

We had a stylish, very comfortable room in a modern and very well equipped hotel. It was in a great location too, right in the heart of the centro storico. The owner was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended.

The little village was charming with lots of shops and restaurants. The lake is beautiful and the people were lovely.

We enjoyed our stay in the room with the roof top hot tub. Family/staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and lovely. The room is very small but had everything we needed. After so many stairs throughout Italy, we appreciated the elevator (unusual for a small property). Be sure to check out the fortress at the end of the town.

Parking was tricky, here’s the info we wish we would have been given (hopefully it can help others):As you approach the walled town, continue around the wall to the left instead of going through the gates. As you wind around the wall, you’ll find a stretch of parking along the wall on your right. Park there and use the EasyPark app to pay (you enter the lot number that’s on the machine into the app). Walk into town (up a small hill) and you’ll be very near the hotel. Parking is charged 8a to 8p, and the app makes it easy to pay for only what you need. You can stay parked free overnight and add time from the hotel via the app each morning.Although this is the closest parking area, any parking along the outside of the town wall will be a short walk to the hotel.

Perfect location and with great and welcoming hosts.Quick trip to the local supermarket 5 minutes drive and we had a fantastic picnic on the rooftop with those beautiful views of the lake.

Excellent hotel in a great location, Paulo did everything to make our stay superb. Hotel was perfectly located in the centre of town, facilities were great and breakfast very nice. nothing was too much trouble.
