Hotel Trasimeno Bittarelli

Room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful and kind. Appreciated being able to toast the bread at breakfast. Across the street from a Coop (the fridge in the room was a plus).

Would like a kettle in the room.

Great little hotel in an excellent spot across from a very nice grocery store and walkable into town. It is uphill into town but not bad at all. View of lake from some rooms. Very personable staff who went out of there way to make our stay comfortable? Love the town! Breakfast just ok but the cleanliness was excellent as were showers, etc.

Pool was great, simple but good breakfast. Close enough to the lake and the old town to walk. Staff helpful and the rooms were cleaned everyday. Air conditioning was good and we had a really nice recently renovated bathroom

The only issue we had was storage space, we’d booked a quadruple room for 6 nights so we had quite a bit of luggage and there was only one average sized wardrobe. That’s more my fault though as I think the hotel is set up for 2 to 3 nights stay, but like a premier inn or travelodge in the uk. I’d stay there again if I was in that part of the country.

Air conditioning

Everything… hard beds… sand paper towels… dreadful breakfast with processed croissants etc, unhelpful staff. Only slept 3hours last night as so uncomfortable. On a main road. … I could go on

The hotel is in a good position for visiting Castiglione and the surrounding area. The atmosphere was very relaxed. There is a nice pool area to relax in the sunshine.

The shower! Whoever designed the bathroom put it facing the wrong way!

Great breakfast, clean and big rooms, friendly hosts, only 10 min. to walk to historical centre, supermarket only 50 m away, hotel with good price

Despite the bedrooms looking a little stark, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were just right - not those squishy types like some sort of marshmallow into which your head sinks! We had a balcony which was useful and the bathroom was modern. The Italian style breakfast was adequate.

The only downside was the lady helping at breakfast time could have been friendlier! Instead of speaking to us in Italian she just indicated that we'd taken the wrong table in sign language in a rather terse manner. We may be foreign, but we do actually speak Italian - I'm sure many do who visit Italy regularly. Also there was no milk for our cereal, so we could not serve ourselves with it. We had to ask for it and then it was poured by this lady too vigorously and our cornflakes had to take swimming lessons!

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, nice location. The best was that we could use their bicycles for free! Excellent for biking around the lake.

Pool was closed.There was quite some noise from the hallway in the early morning.

Location was good, close to the train station and grocery store.Bathroom was very nice and the room was well air conditioned. Room has good blinds and it gets quite dark, which is nice for sleeping in.Breakfast was simple and fine.Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Pillows and mattress could be a little nicer. But not a big problem.Would be good if the windows had a mosquito net, because they easily come in the room if you open the windows to ventilate.

Breakfast and dinner were good. The main problem was the language. No one spoke English. The owner /manager was a very pleasant man but the language barrier caused a lot of problems. Not as near the Lake as I thought. The swimming pool was closed so I couldnt swim for 6days with temperatures high 20,s some days were 30c which was disappointing.

No bus service or regular taxi service and the lack of anyone speaking English made it very difficult to go anywhere.

Location was good: an easy walk to the centre of Castiglione but with on-site car parking which was a priority for me. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The road passing the hotel was busier that I expected and traffic during the night disturbed me a bit as I had a room on the front. This wouldn't have been an issue with rooms further back in the hotel.

location was near the lake, small well connected town. staff was ok, didn’t speak English but tried hard to accommodate, room cleaning offered daily

very basic room, tv wasn’t working, no wifi in room had to go to the front desk to get wifi. toilet seat broken, ac wasn’t working

Staff were amazing and helped me out with anything that I needed. Great location! Right across the road from a big supermarket and close to some great restaurants. 15 minute walk to Rocca del Leone and the gorgeous historic town, and 5 minutes from the lake front. Felt super comfortable and safe here!

The location is amazing!!!! The hotel is close to the City Center and the Train Station. The staff are the best: very kind and so helpful. And also the breakfast is really delicious! Amazing experience! I will be back for sure!
