    Pros +

    • Great rooms good layout and very clean
    • Passable
    • We stayed for 1 night on the way from Alps to Paris. It was clean, well-designed and fresh. I enjoyed a lot the comfy lobby with some play zones and kids zone with private space and books. The room was clean and comfortable for sleep. That’s all we needed. Plus, I had a pleasure to drink a team before bedtime.Next day we passed by Lyon for a brunch and stroll before heading to Paris.

    Cons -

    • Great breakfast and friendly staff
    • Very unprofessional and dishonest behavior from the reception staff. After I completed my check-out, I asked the receptionist to arrange a large taxi because I had several suitcases. She clearly told me there were no large taxis available. I accepted that and told her it was fine and that I would order an Uber myself, which I did, and I left the reception area.A few minutes later, while I was already waiting for my Uber, she suddenly came to me and said: “Your taxi has arrived.”I was surprised and told her that she had already informed me that no large taxis were available and that I had already ordered an Uber. Her response was extremely rude and unprofessional. She said she had nothing to do with it, that I must pay the taxi, and refused to take any responsibility. When I told her that she was the one who ordered it and should have coordinated properly, she simply said “No,” turned her back on me, and walked away. This behavior is unacceptable in any hotel, especially from front desk staff. She gave false information, caused unnecessary confusion, and handled the situation with zero professionalism or customer care.Very disappointing experience, and management should seriously address this issue.
    • The AC was broken. It was not fixed and we did not het another room. It was extremely hot.The door broke and was not locking. The cards to tje room kept deactivating which was frustrating. There was no fridge in the room. The sofa bed is not a double bed when you fold out. It is two small separate mattresses. The reception staff showed aggravated when I reported broken AC and door.issue. The quality od service and the standard is way lower than Novotel in Poland.

It was very family friendly. There is a swimming pool which we didn't use but still there. The location cannot really be reached without a car but that was also one of the reason we booked it. Free car park. Not close to the city of Lyon, so quiet. Obviously, not much of a view, but that was never the selling point. Breakfast is amaaaaaaaaazing! Lots of staff to help if needed.

Found it a bit difficult to find at first. We ate once at the restaurant and the food was okay but nothing to remember fondly.

Many different facilities for children and very friendly staff

Breakfast was crowded, wait was long, coffee machine wasnt working anymore when finally my turn, breakfast got finished quite fast. Also very poor gluten free selection. Should cost less than normal breakfast.Variety in facilities for children was nice, only because there were so many children in that moment, there wasn't enough availability still. I have to add we were there in one of the busiest periods in the year

Everything you needed and above and beyond. Breakfast was great, amenities were wonderful and staff were exceptionally friendly.

A family room is just a regular room with fold up beds, so super-tight. It's located well out of the city centre, and it took 40 minutes to drive into Old Lyon.

Safe parking. Lobby area looked nice. The staff was friendly.

Booked because of good reviews and was very disappointed. The fotos look much better than the reality. Dated rooms, smelling like stale smoke, stained carpets. Location was horrible. Between highway knots. Hotel facade severely damaged, the inside just badly renovated. Pool much too small and overfilled.Generally just bad value for money. Avoid.

    Passable

The information page accessible via the QR code in the room, as well as the screen at the reception, both stated that breakfast is available until 10:30 on weekends. However, when we arrived at 10:00, they had already started clearing everything away. Although we were still able to eat something, some items (such as bacon) were no longer available. The staff did not acknowledge the discrepancy and insisted that breakfast ends at 10:00.

Great new hotel with gym, kids games, and nice pool. Perfect layover for the route to feel relaxed the next day.

Clean room (though the decor is outdated and the exhaust fan is dirty), comfortable bed and sofa. Large parking area, excellent location. Room service is available — very convenient.

Here are a few points that I believe could be improved:1.The room’s renovation and interior are outdated — it could use a refresh.2.There was no drinking water in the room. I had to go down to the bar to get water in a glass bottle. In the morning, this was inconvenient as there was no regular bottled water available to take medicine. We didn’t think to buy it in advance — usually, hotels of this type provide it in the room.3.The lack of a refrigerator was surprising. For a hotel of this level, it’s unusual — there was nowhere to store food, and some had to be thrown away.4.Breakfast — the selection is limited, but overall it’s sufficient.

We've stayed at this hotel on many occasions - using it as a halfway point between Calais and Tignes. It has never disappointed - secure parking on site which means we don't have to empty our car for the overnight stay. The hotel is geared towards families with loads of entertainment options for children of all ages in the lobby area. The room was comfortable even with the sleeper couch made up for my daughter. We had dinner at the restaurant which was lovely. Staff were friendly and very helpful in the lead up to our stay.

Good location if you need to do anything in west Lyon. Ok breakfast by French standards. I would have preferred from warm breakfast options.

The reception was not super friendly. The rooms are not very soundproof because we could hear kids playing in the hallway after 10 pm as we were trying to get our family to bed. Not very modern feeling for a Novotel.

The location is really practical for passing by. There are a lot of activities for the kids and restaurant/bar so you don’t have to leave the hotel. The parking is open and big and they close the door at night.

We had problems with the air conditioning and they tried to fix it but it was a really hot day and the room was not as fresh as we would have liked.
