    Pros +

    • An exceptionally clean and comfortable hotel with very well-designed rooms. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location on the edge of the city was convenient with secure garage parking. Beautiful views from hotel's lobby and restaurant.
    • We returned to this hotel secure in the knowledge that we would be well attended to and to enjoy the space, the calm and the beautiful view over Rouen.
    • Location

    Cons -

    • Restaurant/bar staff were not helpful only wanted to serve french people, stayed few times never been like that before
    • Website says there is a laundry on site but should more accurately say ironing / pressing available. Thought I was going to be able toDo my laundry.
    • Bathroom small, toilet in strange location V the door and could not turn the water to be hotter. Bar and reception area a bit too modern and could have been more relaxed e.g open fire, tall back chairs etc, more privacy instead of openess.

Pet friendly and staff were very accomodating. Grounds were good for exercising the dogs. The view and surroundings were lovely.

Great location and dog friendly on the way to Calais

    10PatriciaPosted on: 1-12-2026

The dog bed and bowl were a lovely touch

The only issue was the lights in the room there were only 2 switches either super bright or dull

    9KimPosted on: 1-9-2026

Location and cleanliness. Restaurant dinner was good

    10JulietPosted on: 1-6-2026

Spacious, comfortable and calm. Fantastic setting overlooking Rouen. Food and service in the restaurant and the bar were of a high standard. Real food cooked well! All staff were extremely gracious and professional.

Location is great, rooms are spacious.

Overly not a horrible experience but not great value for money. You can find better places to stay at in Normandy, e.g. AirBnBs at Fecamp or Golden Tulip hotel in Dieppe.- double bed is just 2 mattresses next to each other (even not zipped together)- we had to consistently remind to clean our room (even then we didn’t always get a refill of water or paper tissues). To be fair we went out late so they had to clean us a little later. But we had no problem with that at another hotel we stayed at.- there is no coffee machine in the room- there is no room service- laundry service didn’t work 31.12-01.01 so we were offered to go and use a laundromat a couple of blocks away- reception often didn’t pick up phone even after staying on the line for some tangible time- charging in the underground parking is not accepting standard European charging cards - it is a separate bill to the hotel- not a single visit into SPA is included into stay

    Disappointing

Good rooms but we couldn't use the SPA as it requires booking and was full, in addition, we were charged for the SPA but never told it was extra. When we raised the issue the reception told us it was mention in an email sent to us, which was true but still seemed unfair given it was a long email with no formatting whatsoever.

Well-appointed rooms with high ceilings. Lovely modern decor but in a beautiful old building with stunning views over the city. Comprehensive and convenient facilities, such as on-site EV charging.

    8GregPosted on: 12-18-2025

The hotel is clean quiet comfortable and value for money. The location, halfway up a hill was a challenging walk from the city centre but the F1 bus is quick and cheap. The members of staff are helpful but a special mention goes to Thomas who is a wonderful advertisement for the hotel, really good fun.

    Can’t think of anything really

Very modern and large room, good location and very clean

Breakfast was expensive (€20/person per day)

    9RisticPosted on: 12-11-2025

Very relaxing place in an exotic environment. Close to Rouen action but yet again far from any noise. Excellent spa facilities and good breakfasts

It was a bit pricey considering they wanted one to pay extra for parking despite Booking suggesting otherwise

    9MichaelPosted on: 11-30-2025

An excellent hotel renovated in a former 19th century teacher training college. Set back from the main road, it is blissfully quiet. Comfortable bed, large room, view over Rouen, great bar and restaurant area, very helpful staff who recommended where to go to eat in town. It's slightly out of centre, but a pleasant 20-minute walk down to the cathedral (25 minutes back as the return journey is uphill) or the bus F1 takes you into the centre.

The only noise in the room was a rather loud one when the fan switched on automatically at 8am. Otherwise it was silent and I slept well.

Everything, the staff were most helpful, rooms were spacious and comfortable. Parking for disabled was right outside. Late check out , Restaurant was great, outdoor seating area on balcony opened up for us with rugs for the cold. Will defiantly return

Noise of the 'heating' even though it was switched off in room.

    Modern, felt safe

No hand soap in the bathroom…
