    Cons -

    • We made a last-minute reservation and arrived late in the evening—around 23:30—with two adults and a toddler. The front desk receptionist was kind and gave us our key card. Understandably, we were exhausted by that time. However, when we got to our assigned room, the key card did not work. After trying several times, we began to worry that perhaps someone else was already in the room. While my husband went back down to reception, I stayed near the room. During that time, another family checking in approached the same room—since they had been assigned the same room number. Their key card worked, confirming that we had indeed been given the wrong room number. This was a bit awkward, especially given how late it was.Eventually, my husband returned with the correct key, and we were able to access our actual room. The room itself was quite nice and featured a separate bed on the balcony connected via a sliding glass door, which we found totally fine. However, one of the major issues we experienced was with the lighting in the morning. The windows facing the street had only light curtains, and there were no blackout curtains on the sliding door or the main window. As the sun rose early, the entire room became extremely bright, making it nearly impossible to sleep in. This was especially inconvenient with a toddler who needed rest.Additionally, the air conditioning was difficult to manage. There was no central control in the room, and despite the fact that it was an unusually hot week in Norway, the room remained uncomfortably warm. We noticed that the hallway was significantly cooler than our room. On the second day, the heat became hard to tolerate, so I approached the front desk. The receptionist was surprised to see that our room temperature was showing as 28°C on her system and mentioned it should have been addressed earlier.Overall, while we appreciated the kindness of the staff and the general layout of the room, these inconveniences made it difficult
    • Some of the items in the room were slightly broken but we reported them to reception and they did whatever they could to assist.
    • No slippers!

The receptionist was very kind and offered extra help whenever needed. The breakfast buffet was excellent and worth it. My room was quiet, and since we have been on a tour around Norway, this hotel truly made the experience exceptional.

The breakfast was very good. The hotel is in a good spot close to the train station and 10 min drive to Oslo Centrum. The persopersoneelnne is respectful and kind!l

The first room was for disability and all the Water from the shower was spreading on the floor. My wife fell down and they changed the room after 2 days and again on my last day! They need more cleaning services.

This hotel is situated just a couple of minutes from the train station. The hotel staff is really friendly. Room was spacious with a great view. Breakfast was in a form of a buffet with lots to choose from. At night you can’t hear anything from the outside so it’s nice and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay.

    Generally okay.

The staff in the restaurant were not nice to kids. However, the persons at reception were polite and helpful. The rooms could be more practical, for instance having more places or hang clothes.

    7JakubPosted on: 7-24-2025

The hotel is very close to Asker train station which is great.

I couldn´t change the temperature in my room by myself. Some sheets were a little bit dirty and the air exhaust in the shower was noisy all the time even during the night.

    Breakfast

I asked to have my room cleaned an extra day as I stayed a few nights, but it never happened.

    8ChengPosted on: 7-4-2025

Good breakfast - good quality and variety.Good location - easy access to train station.Clean and comfy room.Hot and cold water is available for guests at all times.

Difficult to open n lock main door - seems v tightNo floor mat to wipe wet feet when coming out of shower. Good to provide one. When I entered the venue for breakfast this morning, a Scandic female staff stopped me and told me to go to the other venue for tour group. I told her I was not in a tour grouo, she asked if I was sure. On second thought, I should have told her it was a stupid question. Wouldn't I know better! This encounter leaves a black mark on my overall hotel experience, which could otherwise be very pleasant.

Bed , breakfast , cleanliness They provided early check -in

AC was not working, but they provided a fan.

    8JoukePosted on: 6-19-2025

The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice, the staff was friendly, alert and kept things tidy. The location was great next to the center of asker, and easy comute to Oslo center. Checking in and out was excellent, with no issues. The room was nice and tidy.

The room was located on the end of a halway with a long walk to the central building. The shower water flow was mild compared to the other residences, and the doors hit both sides toilet and sink making entering and exit a bit tricky.

    10OonPosted on: 5-29-2025

Room is spacious. The walking distance is no far from or to the Railway Station if exiting from the rear section. Mac Donald is just next to the hotel. Breakfast is super with good selection.

    Shower head always fall down.

The room was spacious, bright and spotless. The staff were friendly and efficient. One of the best hotel breakfasts. Huge variety and good quality

A few odd holes not filled in. A towel was taken but not replaced. Facial tissues would be useful

    7EnikőPosted on: 4-13-2025

The rooms are basic, it needs to be refreshed and modernized. Sometimes corridor and elevator floor was dirty. Heating in the room causes that the air is very very dry, I could hardly sleep. The bed is soft Cleaning the room every day is very nice. Staff was really friendly. The breakfast was excellent. Really good and wide variety. I wish the rooms would be as nice as breakfast.
