Hotel Montbriand Antony - Ancien Alixia

Location, bathroom is modern with a very good shower, kettle to make tea. Excellent bedding.

The hallway, elevator had a lot of tear and wear. I felt the common area could be kept cleaner. The towels were threaded or worn. There was no shower cap or tissue in the room. There should be more than two tea bags since the room is for a couple.

We use this to stay when visiting our family in Antony ... so it is just a place to retire to after time with family. The hotel is very well appointed, things like electric, plumbing, lighting well thought out. Exceptionally clean, very comfortable beds and room, and (for us) uk channels on TV. We don't eat here so cannot comment on food service. We have tried others ... but not a patch on Montbriant ... we will be back!

Automatic roller shutters, to make the room completely dark. Good beds. Optimal room temperature.

One person at reception had difficulties understanding our questions, even though we explained in French and English. A water refill station near reception would be handy.

We picked this hotel for its location being 2 blocks from the RnR into Paris but we were hugely pleased by how pretty the rooms were. They are a nice size with a bathroom down the hall. The breakfast is delicious but most of all, Stephanie, who is the receptionist, was so nice and helpful. I looked forward to seeing her. She was so warm and made our stay even better.

I didn't like the smell and hotel wasn't clean,very old style,TV hardly works,staff made mistakes with the payments.

Very well located, close to RER station with easy access to central Paris. Very comfortable, clean, peaceful with really friendly staff. Delicious breakfast too!

Not good.

The staff were not very helpful. Refused to help to transfer booking from their partner hotel on Berny, so that we did not have to move for one night. It was money orientated to get the maximum amount per booking during the Olympics time. Even though both hotels had vacancies. We asked for spoon to eat yogurt in the afternoon, that was not possible- said that they did not have any spoons!The shower gel was empty .

Not very happy

We requested a transfer to the partner hotel 10 mins away, Montibrand in Anthony, which had vacancy and it would have prevented us from moving hotels for one night . This was not possible as this hotel was more expensive and they refused to move us, as they wanted more money for the room we booked. In the end we said keep the money and we would prefer to stay in the same hotel for connivence. Again this was not possible. We were short of time and asked if they can do an transfer of the luggage- again not possible. Overall customer service was very poor, only interested in charging more money for standard room. The reception staff were not very friendly . The reason why they did not want to transfer us to the Montibrand Hotel was that they would have had to refund us the difference.

The room was spacious, lovely bathroom with bath and separate shower. Bath robes and slippers included. On some days the bed wasn't made or tea cups changed, no refresh of tea/coffee supplies, so we had to ask at the front desk, but overall a very lovely hotel with good service and staff.

We were asked to pay separate charge for the city tax on arrival at the hotel, even though we pre paid this through Booking.com. Reception staff and management just pushed us to speak to Booking.com to resolve the issue, even though we showed them our confirmation email stating we had already paid. Not great customer experience and now we have to sort it out at home

The staff here were excellent. I had a problem with the window not closing in my room. They had a look and offered me a new room without any question. They also gave me very good advice on a safe place to go running and were generally very pleasant people. I stayed here 10 years ago before the refurbishment and they have done a great job of updating the building. I really enjoyed my stay.

It's a shame there is no restaurant here. Although it's very close to town where there are plenty of restaurants, I stayed there on a Sunday where almost everywhere was closed. They did have a room service option but these were more like snacks and not suitable for an evening meal. I didn't enjoy the breakfast very much and this is the reason I didn't give a higher score. I think hotels need to consider that more and more people want to (and need to) eat healthily and avoid ultra processed foods (e.g. cereals, pre-packaged flavoured porridge and yogurt, fruit salad in syrup, bread, sandwich meat). Eating healthily is very difficult when travelling and has a big impact on health for those of us who go away a lot for business.

Very small rooms. No bath as advertised & no ‘luxury’ toiletries as advertised

I love that the front desk is staffed 24hours. The staff are great, and speak such perfect french even a beginner can understand.Its clean and comfortable and dependable.

Our room was smaller than last time, but still good.

Good Breakfast and there was no extra charge for my children.

Sofa bed in family room could have been more comfortable.

TV did not work in last 2 days. I was proposed to change room but would not have been as large so I preferred not to change,, but this was clearly disappointing

The hotel was clean, the room was OK. Despite rumors about bedbugs epidemic in Paris, we spent a calm night without any issues there. I liked 24 hours a day working reception because we departed at 4 o'clock in the morning, and the checking out was smooth and easy.It's very good that you can buy a bottle of wine and some snacks from the reception at any time, because grocery stores around the hotel close early (way before 21:00).The hotel is located about 15 minutes drive (if no traffic jam happens) from Orly airport. Good for overnight stay for travelers. It's also a short-distance walk from Antony RER station, and the path to there is nice and clean.There is a very good farmers market five minutes walk to the hotel. The market works in the morning until approximately noon.

The sofa setup as an additional bed for kids was not nice: the legs were positioned higher than the head, and the sofa had a visible bend in the back area that was easy to feel. The pillows were very cheap and not comfortable. There were just three seats in a room that was booked for a family of four.The hotel is suitable for families (no more than 4 people per room), but the comfort is below expectation.

Clean, friendly, quiet, newly refurbished

The double had not enough space to open even a single standard suitcase without it being on the bed or completely in the way.

Rooms are old and needs renovation . Water kettle and pillows are old too.
