Beautiful hotel and excellent location!

a pleasant hotel near the center of ningbo. my room was quite different from that during my last stay, but very well equipped, staff friendly with acceptable enlish speaking.- the one thing - just next the annex where i stayed there is a huge construction in course - during my stay, it was relatevely quiet, excepted an excavator in full action (on sunday until 7pm!)i am amazed that i got this room for a four nights stay.

The room and amenities were great. The area around the hotel has a little bit of everything, and you don't have to go too far to find something to do, or to eat. The hotel staff are helpful and attentive.

The free Wi-Fi would work well half the time, and the other half would be barely usable. The hotel staff, although very attentive, could use some more English practice, to work at a chain hotel like Wyndam. I'd have liked that they used a bed sheet + comforter, instead of just the comforter, which was too warm during some nights. This is what I encountered in every hotel in Hong Kong and China, though, so it's not a comment about just this property.

Older , luxury property that has been around for quite a while and desperately needs a makeover. Restaurant is not connected to main bldg. It is a very good buffet, for breakfast. TheMain entry hall, has very few sitting chairs for guests .Even though the rooms are comfortable and attractive, there are definite parts that need replacements and have faded away.Front desk employees, are not proficient in the English language, Many miscommunications.Overall, a score of 6.5 out of ten. You get what you pay for.

Not really much

For an international hotel none of the staff could speak very well English the gym was closed and I had a foot massage done at the foot massage parlour and I got offered for extra services “sexual services” which gave me a feeling of this place is a dive.There seems to be a lot of staff hanging around the front reception part looking kinda useless. Wouldn’t recommend for international travellers to stay here.

Location and friendliness of the staff.Breakfast quality is exceptional (Chinese options anyway).

In-room lighting brightness (warm/night) is WAY too bright and not intuitive.

Room was clean. Staff were helpful. Good location.

Swimming pool and gym were undergoing updates and not open when booked. If I'd of known this I would have booked somewhere else. Maintenance work was explained would be happening from 8.30 am. They were actually starting at 7am. It was very noisy, hammering in next room and woke me from jet lag sleep. I called reception and they stopped. No info when checking in like breakfast time, where to go, that gym and pool was out of order. Some info printed in English to give to international guests checking in would have been welcome. But I did enjoy my stay.

Big rooms, comfy bed. Friendly staff, even English (as it often happens in China) is not really a must. Good variety for breakfast.

Swimming pool was closed, nobody informed me in advance while I booked and that was quite important for me in order to relax after a long working day. Room was in B section, not 100% same as A section in terms of comfort

Nice hotel, a little tired, but the service and breakfast were at a high level. I was a little disappointed by the lack of European sockets, but the impression was smoothed over by the butler Tommy, who surrounded me with warmth and care, thank you very much

Loation was exellent, right in the enter of all major attrations and the staffs are wonderful. Room was clean and decent.

1. When we arrived, the hotel was undertaking some rather major face lift and there are serious city improvement constructions in the immediate neighborhood that created significant noise affetction half of the rooms that presents the old town view, so we end up choosing a room that faces the other side, wihich is facing an internal wall, but has no other choice unless we choose to bear with the round-o-clock noise.2. Gym room was pathetic for a 5 star hotel, there is really some improvement to be made.3. A seeming nice vending machine at the main entrance, but it doen't work exept to take your money, and from what I gather, this is an known problem after reapted service repair calls which yield no real solution.
