Pros +
- Room view and comfort beds
- Very nice river view and quiet other than sounds from wildlife. Room is big.
- BIG AND COMFORTABLE ROOM WITH A VIEW TO VALDIVIA CITY CENTERThe Hotel is comfortably located across the river, with very good access to Valdivia city center, Isla Teja and other surroundings. In and out of everything avoiding rush hour traffic.Hotel infrastructure is vast, although screams for updating its decor.Room and bathroom were large, comfortable with good view. We required assistance to regulate temperature as A/C - Heating command was not straight forward.Breakfast was fine, although we expected more variety, specially of fruit.Dined in one night at the hotel restaurant and the food was homy, just what we were looking for.
Cons -
- Breakfast was a little bit basic.
- Location is a bit far from city center, and nothing within walking distance nearby. Internet doesn’t work most of the time, except near the lobby. Not that accessible for handicap. Long walk for from room to lobby, long walk and no elevator to the breakfast room. We stayed a total of 5 nights due to my wife’ accident and surgery there.
- Outdated decor of common areas, which for us was marginal as we spent most of the time sightseeing.Parking is in a gravel lot in the hotel premises, but outside / uncovered, which is something to improve in a city that rains about 330+ days per year. Also, some of the BIG trucks (camionetas de gran tamaño) tend to use more space, and appears that one slightly dented one of my doors (not reported since I have no proof). Bfast was fine, can be improved.

Even though when one first arrive is surprise for the apparent bad location of the place, the back of the premises looks to a beautiful scenery of the river. The place is huge and it is primarily a place for conventions and big groups
The service is substandard. My wife and I are nearly 80 years old and we had to request help to Carr our luggage on a very big place. Our room was at least a 5 minute interior walk, quite far from the reception and the dining and breakfast area.
This is a large hotel set up for conferences and business meetings. The rooms are clean and modern. Ours overlooked the river and had a window we could open for fresh air, lovely.
This place really needs a water taxi service. it is across the river from city center which is where you want to go for dinner. because is quite large, breakfast can get a little congested.
good location. comfortable and clean rooms.
Breakfast with few tables and chairs, you have to wait and there is little variety.
Comfortable bed and large room. Staff very helpful. Great views across the river.
Needs a refurb. Furniture is dated. Bathrooms have seen better days. Entire breakfast service needs a rethink. Eating off paper plates and drinking out of paper cups is not great. Poor selection of food. Scrambled egg runny to the point of being undercooked.
Very nice, clean and comfortable
The breakfast is limited in variety ( eg no fresh fruit) but good overall
Close to the local airport. Food available from lunchtime to late evening meaning you can eat when you want. Food selection good. Nice views of the river
Nothing -
The spacious rooms, great view of the river, large parking and friendly staff.
The facility was very nice. Old, well done woodwork. In it's day it must have been a very elegant hotel.
The breakfast was a little less than par. They use wooden tableware for breakfast and the hot(?) food was not hot.
Ample rooms, great views to the Calla Calle river
Its kinda isolated from downtown, but a 10 minutes car ride solves that
View was amazing.
All the forks, knifes, glasses and even plates were disposable. None of the breakfast material was reusable. The amount of trash generated by this hotel may be huge in a unnecessary way.
Location/ Staff / Room/ Breakfast
Kind of old. Rooms and toilets need renovation
Great view, clean and great valueGood food
The view of the river from the room
Breakfast is very simple, I was expecting more for a hotel that is supposed to be one of the best of the city. Also, it’s my second time in this hotel and I can’t believe that the front desk people don’t speak English, they were not able to explain anything to us and the same thing happened to us last year.
The hotel is big and beautiful. The bedrooms and bathrooms are big very clean, the beds and pillow are good and the view from the island and the river are beautiful. The shower is good, clean, hot and water strong enough.
The breakfast is very simple with plate, fork, spoon and knife from recycle material very bad.
Passable
Next door to a shiprepair yard. Longe time ago first class but now ??
The view on waterfront
The breakfast, food choice wasn't tasty, very industrial, served in disposable dishes which is a shame nowadays. The odor, it smells dusty and old. Everything looked very old, not in a good way.Staff wasn't helpful at all.
Very nice and remodeled rooms.
Probably because is COVID, there were few options for food and drinks.
