Built in 1870 by Eugène Jost, this recently renovated Belle-Époque hotel is located in the heart of Montreux on the shore of Lake Geneva and right across from Montreux Train Station. It offers a restaurant with a lake-view terrace and free WiFi in all areas. All rooms at Grand Hôtel Suisse Majestic, Autograph Collection feature air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a mini-bar, and many of them have a balcony or a terrace. The restaurant 45 Grill & Health offers seasonal, locally inspired cuisine and a wide selection of international and local wines. Guests can enjoy a cocktail at the bar, which features a terrace during summer and a winter garden in winter. A selection of cigars and fine spirits are offered in the cigar lounge. A fitness room with hammam and sauna, a business corner and laundry services are also available to guests. The train station of Montreux is just opposite the Grand Hôtel Suisse Majestic, and there is easy access by car as well. A few steps away you can find the steamboat landing stage, the congress center and the shopping area.

- Location and late checkout time
- The room was bright and beautiful. The bed came with two separate duvets, so no fighting over the covers! Very comfortable. The star was the balcony. Very big with a table and 2 chairs. The view overlooking Lake Geneva. Amazing sunsets! So sad to leave.
- Upscale hotel is right across the street from the main train station. Lake view from the room was beautiful even on the first floor.
Cons -
- The bathroom was very nice but the tub with half glass/ half open and very narrow was a challenge to use. The room got the afternoon sun so was not as cool as we would like it. Has to ask the front desk to turn the temperature down. I loved it!
