Pros +
- The view, the staff and the overall experience at Södra Berget is purely epic. If you arrive by yourself or want to endulge in a great experience with the kids in the Arcade section it all pans our extremely well. Belal catering for our service in the restaurant 180 and in other areas always make sure to go beyond the extra mile to make our stay more than welcoming!See you soon again!
- Great city and sea views at night and in the morning. Regret not paying for a room with that view. We'll stocked breakfast buffet. Friendly staff.
- Nice modern hotel in beautiful surroundings
Cons -
- Absolutely nothing open on Sunday. No restaurant, bar or room service. The staff did message me of this in advance but unfortunately the message did not come through until after I had arrived at the hotel. Had I known I would have cancelled the booking. I would expect better from this standard of hotel.
- slippery pathways. i almost fell many times when i walked my dog around
- Nothing, actually.

The view and the interior atmosphere were fantastic!!! Also, the spa had a lot of small pools and saunas and lounges so it did not feel crowded even though it was fully booked. The hotel also has a lot of other activities, like bowling, laser game, arcade halls, etc, which we did not have time to explore, so we could easily spend more nights here!!!
Nothing, actually.
Had the room with a view of the city - it was awesome
Room fridge not working - had to use ice buckets each day to keep drinks coldRestaurant and bar was closed until 5pm everyday - the only bar/restaurant open was in the bowling alley Staff could hardly speak English No table service at the restaurant - had to que up for drinks and foodStaff did not know where the closest ski resort was as the ski resort at the hotel was closed for the first few days - when this has opened you could not hire ski equipment from the hotel. We had to hire a car for the days we were there as the staff could not arrange a taxi for 5 people - additional cost that we did not budget forSpa - very disappointing - it was more of a kids club with children running around and screaming - no control at allThe steam room was not working at all so that left us with a medium warm sauna where more intoxicated quests were making such a noise that I had to leaveNote you have to pay every time you visit the spa.........
The view, the hotel, and the rooms were nice.
The staff are unfriendly, don’t speak or won’t speak English. There is no table service in the bistro. The staff have no English menus. For a ski resort, they don’t have any information about skiing or where to rent the ski gear or where to go for skiing. The spa is more like 6 small pools, kids everywhere and no quiet zone! There is no hygiene, shoes in saunas, no towels. Very disappointing time at the spa and you pay dearly to go in even as a hotel guest. It’s on the hill With a fabulous view but nothing to do. No bar, restaurant opens at 5:30pm and that’s all there is. The ala carte restaurant and bistro had the same menu every day for 5 days straight, including breakfast. I recommend the restaurant has an adults area and kids separate. The front of house when leaving booked the wrong cab when we asked for her and we nearly missed our train and had to pay for 2 cabs cause she wasn’t Listening. We got overcharged at the spa for 5 people instead of 4. The fridge in room 283 wasn’t working and the reception said they have no one that can fix it and for us to go get ice. Very very bad staff. One swore at us and I lodged a written complaint.
Spa was very good... breakfast was lovely, beds comfortable.
Room was very small, noise coming from bathroom which didnt stop. Beer and food was expensive.
The location, the Spa, clean bathroom and the bed
Ventilation. It was just a hole with some sort of cover that wasn’t adjustable. It was blowing cold wind on me all night! The room was very cold and the radior wasn’t working.
Beautiful pet friendly room, staff prepared a bed for a dog, bowls, and we got a little welcome gift with dog treats. Spa here is next level, just wow!
The view from the hotel restaurant is nice. Breakfast buffet offers a good variety. Dinner at the 180view restaurant was delicious.
We had a pet friendly room. The room was facing the parking lot. The room size was too small. The room lacked cleanliness. The bathroom was very small and the layout was odd. Charger for electric vehicles can only booked in time slots. Tesla destination charger on the map is not accessible for guests.
spacious roomspacious breakfast areaperfect parkingperfect location on the hill
Breakfast was great and clean rooms.Enjoyed hiking and climbing on the mountain and playing air hockey at hotel.
Very nice views, although we did not get a window towards the city. The opportunity to try out a weighted blanket was very nice! The breakfast was very, very good!!
Small room, barely any room to get around or put down a suitcase.
The room was spacious and clean, with a breathtaking view of the entire city and surrounding nature. With the Strike club and the Friluftscentrum close by, there is always something to do. The spa was amazing, especially the possibility of being with kids there on Mondays. The breakfast was so generous that you need to stay at least 5 nights to be able to taste all the food once.
The view was absolutely magnificent and ooh myyy…. The breakfast was amazing and full of variety. The room was clean and beautiful (I experienced both standard and superior for I was there with friends). Only for the hotel I can be back to Sundsvall.
Maybe the fact that it’s a bit far, might be not easy for people who come to Sundsvall via buss or train.
Great modern property with a great view over the city and water. All the staff were great, food excellent.
Nothing to dislike
amazing breakfast, could start a little earlier
parking was really busy, no plugs available
Fully accessible as I was using crutches. Ramps located throughout the property.
Opening times of the bistro could be better especially when arriving on a Friday. Also when it’s busy the queues for the bar is long as they don’t offer table arrive which is what you expect staying at a hotel.
Beautiful views up on a mountain, nearby ski resort, delicious breakfast and great experience
