Location

The staff was very nice and helpful. We were on a road trip and check-ed in at 1am in the night, their reception is open 24/7. I had no chance to walk around the hotel since the morning after breakfast we had to start driving again. However, I felt the hotel was in a safe, nice location. I wish I had time for a walk nearby!I enjoyed a lot the breakfast, they had plenty of choice of tasty and healthy food. The breakfast room was also very nice!From my past experience at Scandic hotels... booking a Scandic hotel is a warranty of a pleasant stay!

Service was excellent and location was in center.

The room wasn't clean till exempel dust and toilet needs more to clean.

Clean room, comfortable beds. Very friendly staff which made the stay even better. Located very central with access to restaurants and cafes. Very good breakfast l.

The staff was super nice and extremely helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location to discover Sundsvall. There was a huge selection of food for breakfast.

There was no drawer or shelf for the clothes.

Excellent location downtown Sundsvall with easy access to restaurants.Super friendly and service minded staff, nice clean and comfortable rooms and superior breakfast buffé.The hotel was super accomodating for dogs and their owners, even with a separate area by the entrance where you could bring along you dog for breakfast/dinner !

Breakfast was good.

However, the reason for the low ratings is entirely the fault of the waitress on the evening of my stay.Her attitude was appalling. I was greeted nicely by her male colleague but it went downhill from there. It was a Sunday evening so the restaurant was quiet. Eventually after being steadfastly ignored by both staff, I got my own menu. All the waiting times were unacceptable. Eventually my order was taken. Again the food took a long time to arrive. By this time, there were just five or six guests, so no discernible reason for my meal to take so long. When the food did come it was ok but not spectacular. The main problem was the tarragon mayonnaise. It was bland to the point of being a waste of calories. The female eventually took my drinks order. I wanted a non-alcoholic cocktail but she was apparently incapable of making one or asking the waiter how to make one. Not enough profit to be bothered I suspected. She was noticeably pleased when I ordered a regular gin and tonic. Sadly, she couldn't be bothered to make it and so I did not get one. Her attitude was so poor, that I decided not to mention it. Not once was I asked by the staff how my meal was and she was obscenely keen to get my payment and get rid of me. Many Swedes can be racist and so as a foreigner, albeit married to a Swedish man, I fell that I fell foul of this. Because of her appalling attitude to me, I will not stay at this hotel again.
