Clarion Hotel Sundsvall

The location was good - easy to walk to Sundsvall's stores & restaurants. Lobby was well appointed and comfortable. Restaurant food was fine. Buffet breakfast was also good. Room was large and bed comfortable.

We had so much luggage! Would have been nice to have a porter. We asked, but the Reception people told us we could take it to our rooms ourselves using their luggage rack. This is the kind of service we would expect from a motel, not a major hotel in a cosmopolitan city.We had dinner in their dining room in the evening. They had a DJ and the noise was deafening. Advice to guests. Ask Reception when the DJ starts - and arrange to eat there an hour earlier. Or dine elsewhere.

Great location! Just nearby by many restuarants and shops. Room is big and comfort! Breakfast is great. I love the pet-friendly hotel ?

Elias and every employee was more than kind and helpful. I had the best meal I’ve had since visiting Sweden at the rooftop restaurant.

Wish the restaurant and bar were open all day.

Incredibly clean and comfortable.

We ended up getting a parking ticket because the instructions for parking were not clear. It would really help if this hotel had designated free parking for guests.

The glass wall separating the shower is too narrow so water splashes out.The hallway (carpet?) has a strange smell (but thankfully the room smelled fine)

Great hotel located not that far from city centre with friendly staff and great breakfast. Unfortunately didn't have opportunity to enjoy the spa.

Our 1st room was not made, can happen, but we hat to queue 2 times and the only excuse was a pepsi max. Ok better then nothing ;-) The sauna (witch is a bit cold) needs a bit of rules like not going in with dripping wet knee long surf shorts and sitting and sweating on the wood with no towel under the but.

The room had everything you need. Loved the mirror just outside the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Great breakfast, with everything you could wish for on breakfast.

Floor tiles of the bathroom, the design of the tiles looks like the floor is dirty with stuff on the floor.

Rooftop pool looks like an infinity pool in the photos and we were expecting city views, this is not the case. Nevertheless, great spa!

Hotel staff was very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

In the bathroom the drain was not working properly so water was there for long time after the shower.

Wow the property is at the citi center with a perfect view to canal , the beds were very comfy especially the pillows .. they had all ritual products , I personally liked and felt like home ..

We stayed one night at Clarion Hotel Sundsvall and were very pleased overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the staff was friendly.

The breakfast was good, but the vegan options were not well labeled, and the selection was quite limited. Seeing all the omnivore options we felt kind of left out, even more hanging in mind that vegan options are very easy to prepare.Despite this minor issue, we would recommend the hotel and would stay again.

I've stayed here a few times now, a fresh, smart hotel with generously sized rooms, with tasteful interior and solid fittings. Rooms are quiet and some have great views over the old town. A nice sauna and a cool roof top bar, another one in the large entrance hall, where you also take your breakfast with a nice view. Cheap parking next door in a decent parking house. Very friendly receptionists.

The AC is impossible to manipulate in a straightforward matter. The same applies to the floor heating in the bathroom. This is really annoying as you can open the windows either and there are no ventilation openings either. The breakfast looks rich but still suffers from cheap products - tea, bread, fruits are not what you'd expect for this price.

There are plenty of food for breakfast, there are hot food and delicious croissant. Hotel is in the walking distance to center of the town.

The best breakfast we’ve had in a Swedish hotel. The staff in the reception, especially Hampus, were extremely friendly and helpful.
