Strandhill Boutique Hotel Lodge and Suites

The staff at the hotel were so welcoming and kind, breakfast was excellent and it was walking distance from great restaurants and pubs!

The bed was a tad bit uncomfortable but the view from the room made up for it :)

Excellent location and views. The lodge is near excellent hikes up to Maeve's tomb and along the beach. The kids loved the ice cream parlor along the beach.

We were welcomed by the receptionist who was absolutely lovely and accommodating and chatted away about the sites and shops and restaurants in the area. We were also upgraded to a room where the bed was in one room and had a little hallway which led into the kitchenette/ living room area with a large window with the view of the mountains and sea. I didn't know the hotel had suites with a kitchenette, it was a lovely surprise! It was lovely and cozy and even had an electric fire in the wall! The break fast in the morning was a continental breakfast (No fry up, which was a little disappointing.) and well stocked up with nice pastries and fruit and cereals. The check out was at 12 so we weren't in a rush in the morning which was fab! I would 100% recommend this lovely place to stay and will definitely book again when visiting strandhill!

Good size rooms, very clean, great views. Parking. Friendly staff. Lovely continental breakfast. A few minutes walk to the seafront.

Whilst the continental breakfast was fine,the opportunity to order a couple of freshly poached eggs would have been welcomed..

The room was a little cold

Location perfect. Short walk to the seafront. Room warm and cosy. Staff very pleasant. Continental breakfast suited us.

The location was great! Near the public transport, shops and restaurants and 15’ walk to the beach.And Amazing views!!!

Receptionist was extremely helpful

Room was warm - couldn’t turn down thermostat. Opening the window was noisy as we were beside road.

Room was spacious and very clean and neat. I had asked for a room with a view and the room we were given had a fantastic view of Strandhill beach. bathroom was good and plenty of hot water for a bath. staff were friendly and helpful regarding local pubs, how to get to the beach etc. I'd definitely stay again though maybe for more than one night next time to appreciate it more. oh location is perfect, 15 minute walk to the beach and there's a nice restaurant called The Venue next door which was also very nice.

the only quibble is that it was a continental breakfast instead of an Irish breakfast, but this was only a minor concern.
