Gooiland Hotel

Large family room.

The heater in my room did not work, despite every effort by me and the hotel staff. It was a very cold night and morning, and I was freezing the whole time - very very unpleasant experience.

We stayed in 4 properties during our 10 day trip. The staff at the Gooiland were the best on the trip.

A beautiful hotel in a lovely part of Hilversum. It was wonderful to be greeted with a hand written note on the bed. The room was a very good size with an amazing view and wrap around terrace. Very comfortable bed with lots of pillows. An ample supply of coffee with a proper coffee machine. Breakfast was fantastic, simple but more than enough. I ordered a fresh pancake with fruit which was lovely. The staff were simply amazing, engaging and making sure everything was as expected and more.

Really everything was great.

Dissapointed that the hotel was crowded with what looked like immigrant.

Immigrants are occupying more than 50% of the hotel and this looks like a long term plan . The hotel has no mention of this on the booking site.

The staff

No separate area for breakfast , no relaxing bar area, it was in reception. There was little or no water pressure when taking a shower, very intermittent , sometimes no water at all. Very expensive for what you get.

Professional staff, Madelief provided valuable guidance. Old classified heritage building. Basic breakfast but plentiful. Provided secure bike storage.

The familyrooms are just perfect. Not too many hotels have a room for 4 persons. Even with a big twi person bed plus 2 single beds the room still had lots of space.Very friendly employees, nice breakfast for good price.And location near the center of Hilversum is great!

Parking is not beside hotel. If it rains it might be uncomfortable.

The Dutch are known for their loud behavior and lack of class, concerning food. This Hotel proves the contrary and the Ukrain personnel that served me was that class you might find in the Hilton in Kiev.

Clear indications where to park the car.

We loved the industrial design of our room. Beds were comfortable, staff were super friendly and helpful. We came with kids and they received drawing supplies as a gift, what a lovely idea!

We didn’t have breakfast but the coffee and tea making facilities in the room were excellent. In fact the room was the most well equipped room that I have ever stayed in. Also, the space was very trendy and the plants in the room were beautiful. The shower was powerful and the blackout curtains not only looked good but also worked extremely well providing a long and restful sleep. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable too which further added to the comfort of our stay. The staff were very pleasant and made us feel extremely welcome. They were attentive to our requests acting immediately with the provision of extra towels. I cannot fault the service at this hotel. Excellent.

The hotel is a superb period piece, dating from the mid-1930s and combining many original fixtures and fittings with up-to-date comforts. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It is a hotel with great character.

The breakfast selection was somewhat on the small side.

The staff were so courteous that they waived the breakfast and kept the room clean each day.

Breakfast was terrible and never enough. Tables always used and dirty breakfast dishes on. Seemed a lot of migrants hanging around entrance. Expensive for what it was. No wardrobe or chest of drawers for clothes

It was a good idea to stayed in Gooiland Hotel. Hotel was in the city center near lots of bars, pubs and stores. Train station was about 8-10 min walking away from the hotel. Train needs about 20 min to Amsterdam center.
