Hotel Am Wintergarten

Very brief work stop over, but a friendly reception when we arrived, a nice beer in the evening and a nice breakfast before we were on the way again. Job done!

Facility is minimal

Everything was comfortable and clean and well thought through. Our room was as big as a suite and had all modern conveniences including a terrace and quiet electrical shutters. The restaurant had a great choice of food, and breakfast in the morning had also everything you could wish for. Staff was very friendly, too!

Guest/s or maintenance staff didn't apply the non-smoking rule, best to open all windows.

Location is OK for me to visit city center or our company. It is walking distance. Breakfast is good enough.

It is quite local hotel, so it is not easy to communicate in English, but actually I didn't have any problem to stay there.

About 3 km/2 miles/ 7 min drive from Bocholt center. Very clean, good sized room (Haus Nora #8 ground floor) with a small couch to watch TV ( in German, of course). Mini fridge, microwave, hot water kettle and coffee machine (size 4 filters), instant coffee, tea, powder creamer and basic utensils all in the room - great! Only a shower, no bathtub but we didn't need a tub. Breakfast across the street in the restaurant was delicious as was the dinner we had the night before (smoked salmon, potato pancakes, salad w/ sweet dressing - wonderful! Be sure to taste their after dinner 'krauter bitter' digestive). Free parking and very quiet area even tho' located on a street/avenue. Lovely wait staff and they tried their best with our few words of German. Good job and keep it up Hotel am Wintergarten ! Danke sehr!

Only drawback for me was the big square, too squishy of a pillow.

We had a suite which was very comfortable, so nice to have a couch and sitting area. Their restaurant was good, breakfast buffet had everything including their own home made berry jam.

Could use some darker black out curtains.

The sofa was placed in a wired way under the ceiling of the room and it made it uncomfortable to sit in the sofa.

Staff are really friendly. Food also excellent.
