Pros +
- High quality historical hotel that we found fantastic in all respects.
- EverythingEspecially the breakfast and the reception The ladies who serve the breakfast are so sweet and helpful and professional Mainly Pinky is very friendly and exceptionally helpful
- It was a large and comfortable room right on the main market square, which was beautiful and full of bars and restaurants. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the shower was warm and nice. We had free and safe bicycle parking.
Cons -
- There was 'nothing' that we did not like.
- The air conditioner worked, but I was hot during the night. Probably just me but just turn it to very cold to be comfortable.
- The bed is two single beds pushed together which is just very uncomfortable for sleeping with two people. For this price I want a proper bed. If you book through their website you get fee spa access but if you book here it will cost you 12.50 each. You can’t open the windows in the junior suite to let fresh air in. Building is beautiful but is in need of renovation

Truly an outstanding experience to stay at this hotel, the staff were super friendly and helpful, the amenities exceed expectations, and of course the prime location of it in the heart of Bergen op Zoom
Great location, they decorated the room because we were celebrating a birthday. Personnel is friendly and accommodating. Nice decor

Location, food, cleanliness
- The bed was not comfortable- A bit noisy+ Location is perfect+ Staff was nice+ Elevator
Good location.
It is a little bit old fashion, but the bar and the restaurant was really good.
Beautiful hotel and great location
Left an expensive electric toothbrush (200€) in the bathroom, called reception 30 minutes after checking out.. and the toothbrush wasnt there anymore and also not found. Cant think of anything else then a staff member with a good eye that or stole or threw away a electric product from a guest. Very disappointing, beside this incident a beautiful hotel
I had booked the junior suite, it was very cozy, comfortable, clean and lovely to stay in. wonderful bed from which i had a splendid view with christmas on the Grote Markt. My favourite was the spa wellness. So nice to come out of the cold and get into a hot sauna.
What is there not to like about this hotel its based in the center of the market with incredible views and fantastic staff that goes out of their way to assist you
The rooms are wonderful and comfortable. Breakfast is loaded with options. The best place to stay in The Netherlands!! The staff are super helpful as well..!
Friendly staff, good central location, comfortable room.
very nice location
restaurant was out of our price range! breakfast was expensive too, but good quality when we tried it. Unfortunately we were charged for breakfasts we didn't have though, but they did refund.
Very friendly helpful staff. The room was good. Excellent location.
The cycle parking was quite a distance from the hotel and there wasn't anywhere under cover to leave the bikes.
Great hotel. Check out De Goveneur restaurant down the street. Excellent food. Ask for Pauline and tell her Lynden sent you.
Loved the room, the exposed beams were beautiful. The shower was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
As a disabled person, the car parking arrangements were not very clear or very user friendly.
The hotel is situated in the city center and has a great range of bars and restaurants at arm’s length. The room was very spacious, and the staff very friendly. Loved the stay here!
The sauna and location on the square Secure bicycle parking
Nothing just a shame we could not have a restaurant reservation
Very centrally located, overlooking the central square and close to good public parking (around €25 per day). Nicely turned out public spaces, beautiful bar and lounge and highly regarded restaurant both with terraces on the square. Large fitness center. Our room was antiquely lovely despite the ageing nondescript furniture and the air conditioning worked. There is a Lavazza coffee machine with a couple of complimentary capsules and a kettle, incongruously hidden in the closet along with an iron, ironing board and a small fan we didnt need. The hotel is ideal for exploring the town and is a 20 minute walk from the token beach and rather nice park and wetlands surrounding the small lagoon.
Average little hotel, certainly not "Grand" in any sense of the term despite the facade. The location as noted by others can be noisy and so is the plumbing... The room although a "suite" was just a largeish 1990's vintage room, amusingly full of warnings against guests stealing items crowned by a stern warning against stealing the wall-mounted "suit-pad" trouser-press.There are no wall switches for the lights other than the bathroom and (separare) wc: the main light is turned on and off via the keycard socket that seems to have no other function and the bedside lamps have their own. There are, conversely, sufficient plugs for phone chargers. The bed is cheap-looking but was fairly comfortable. The "bathroom" gave the impression of being little more than a tiled closet, with just enough space for a small basin and the smallest shower cabin able to fit a grown person. Toiletries were minimal and very cheap generic tubes. You could hear quite clearly the plumbing working in the adjacent roomsThere is no minibar as such only a small empty fridge. There is also a small safe. The "welness" spa was large and quite nice and felt very new. It was somewhat let down by a clear lack of frequent servicing as witnessed by used towels hanging everywhere. The tiny gym/fitness area leads off it and it is quite surprising that neither, especially the gym, is free for hotel guests. The very young reception staff were a mixed bag in terms of experience and politness, ranging from very polite to dutch-level rude, but were on the whole competent enough. As this is obviously an agglomeration of joined buildings, reaching the room involved several twists and turns, a few steep steps and quite some walking. The upside was a view to a fairly quiet side street.
