Hotel Am Pan

Everything you woud expect: Rolls, bread, cheese, eggs, bacon.....Coffee, tea, juices.....Plenty of space, good service.

Good dog friendly hotel close to the center and the river.Free private parking.Room clean and comfortable.

Easy access, parking behind the house. Friendly reception. We arrived late and found the key in a safe outside the hotel. A big spacious bed. Good bathroom. Between the bedroom and the entrance door is s little hall with a large empty wardrobe and space for suitcases and hanging up coats. Very useful. The breakfast buffet was all fresh and good. Nothing exceptional, but good.

We didn't like that there was no little fridge, not a bottle of water, even there were 2 glasses. There was an electric kettle, 2 coffee cups, but no saches with instant coffee. No complementay blankets in the spacious wardrobe. Luckily it wasn't too cold , yet. Heating switched off at midnight.

The owner was present and constantly helpful. Paid attention to details. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Secure bicycle garage and waking distance to the Rhine.

Located near the town centre, but on a quiet street. Good, safe parking through an archway round the back of the hotel. Efficient check-in and payment on arrival. Comfortable, spacious room with good wifi.Breakfast was an extra 8 Euros pp, but was very comprehensive and varied. An enjoyable final night of a three week trip.

The place immediately felt friendly and welcoming. Staff happy and smiling. A really good relaxed atmosphere Rooms spotless, decorated nicely and well equipped. The beds super comfortable.It was good to have private free parking too.The continental breakfast was fresh, tasty and plentiful, and also good value.

The breakfast was typically German with cold meats,cheese plus boiled eggs etc so it was good for the size of the hotel,the young lady serving us very friendly and helpful too,It was very nice to have an on-site car park behind the hotel

Clean comfortable room. I liked the decoration of the reception and my room. I did not have breakfast. That was nothing to do with the hotel. It was just I had other arrangements. I would try the breakfast if I stayed again.

There was just one thing. One morning of my stay, I stepped out of the front door. The ground level is just a bit lower outside. So it is a step down. Outside the door, there is a metal grate in the ground (which appears to be a feature common to many buildings in Germany). I suddenly fell to the ground and clutched my ankle in pain. I slowly got up. Fortunately I found that I could stand and walk ok, So that was a relief. I looked at the grate and it was bent. I realised the grate must have turned my ankle over. I gestured to the man behind reception. I pointed to the grate and said - that is dangerous. Later in the day, when I returned to the hotel, I found that the grate was no longer bent, but completely straight, so it no longer represented a hazard. The hotel will have to keep an eye on that grate. It is a pity the grate is right outside the door. I did not step out of the door with any force. It was not me that bent it. It must have been bent prior to my stepping on it. Really, it was a fortunate outcome. It could have been someone older and frail who stepped on the grate and you are looking at a broken ankle or worse. But I want to say I am satisfied with how the hotel responded and it would not deter me from staying at Hotel am Pan again. I liked this hotel very much.

It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was a nice buffet breakfast in a nice dining room, it was centrally located so an easy walk to shops and restaurants plus a lovely waterfront promenade, the room was set up with a nice desk.

The hotel appeared to be used by workmen who left with their cars / vans from 4.45am . As we overlooked the car park, little option to sleep after 5am. When asked for ice, the ‘receptionist’ advised they were only a hotel ! She also told us to Google for a Supermarket to find ice ....

Excellent service. Simple rooms and breakfast but that is all that you need for a short visit to Emmerich.

Nice little family hotel with friendly staff. We spent one night in the hotel with friends and we were very satisfied with our stay. I can certainly recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Emmerich!

Location, cleanliness, breakfast, and thoughtful helpful people. Excellent bike storage. Close to restaurants and river.

Comfortable room. Great shower and bed. 5 minute to the quayside restaurants. Very good breakfast. Excellent value for money
