Pros +
- Nice modern high-rise in the middle of Almuñecar, about a 3-5 min walk to the beach. Rooftop pool has great views. Breakfast at the cafe downstairs was good and cheap, with very large toasts and decent coffee. Rooms were basic but very clean. Air Conditioning was functional (lots of hotels shut AC's off in the off season). There was a spa and sauna area but I didn't get to use it (have to reserve and the timing didn't work out for me). Overall a good place to stay.
- Excellent location, nice clean friendly hotel, staff were very helpful
- Food was variable in quality but always a good variety. There is an additional charge to use the spa, which in other hotels we've stayed in has been included for residents (not treatments).
Cons -
- Parking was a bit on the expensive side, but that's Europe for you. That said, the parking lot was convenient (right below the hotel) and decent to navigate, not tight like so many other ones).
- Food could have been a bit warmer at times
- Just that room window had no net/privacy curtain despite facing main road.

Lovely hotel in a great location roof top pool looked amazing sadly we was there in February Hotel does not have irons to loan out
Location excellent we had half board and meal was lovely plenty of choice
Very clean. Pleasant receptionists were helpful & assisted with phone charger too. Pleasant staff food hall. Food good but could do with more variety of choice at dinner. Fresh pineapple/ oranges at breakfast great choice though.
Just that room window had no net/privacy curtain despite facing main road.
Staff were helpful. Sun roof had plenty of beds. Cleaning was good. Food / beverages at the attached cafe was exceptional value.
Hotel, like many in Spain is just a little dated / tired and in need of a refresh, however the price reflects this which makes it great value for money.
Location was great. Room was kept very clean. Good mattress. Plenty to eat at breakfast.
As a couple would have preferred a queen or king size bed instead of the 2 double beds.A coffee maker would have been nice in the room. Within a week stay had to go to the reception to reset the room key several times, pretty annoying.
I like the location of the hotel both near the sea and the town centre. The staff were completely different to those when I stayed in 2021. This time the reception staff were far more friendly and generally greeted people when they left or entered the hotel.
The awful old fashioned colour scheme. The room looked as though it had recently been decorated which was a great improvement but orange curtains, cushions and bed valance in a service ware type material with dark wood furniture. Yuk! So 70s and very unattractive today.
Friendly welcome - parking on site (at a fee) - central location. Entertainment on some nights during our stay. Nice view of the town from our balcony.
Would have liked tea/coffee making in room. A welcome drink? There was no water in the fridge
We had a big, nice and comfortable room with a balcony on the quiet back side of the hotel. There was a fridge but unfortunately no water brewer. Breakfast was a fiest. They had all you could ask for. If we come back to Almunecar we will stay here again.
Very friendly staff and comfortable room, great location for what we wanted to do. Would certainly use it again.
The hotel is lovely, pretty close to the beach, and the town is gorgeous. The atmosphere around us was always very pleasant.and it was absolutely agreeable to walk, after dinner, close to the beach.
We paid for full board, but twice, for lunch, they requested us to use one of their restaurants, but, instead of a small buffet, we had to eat what we could choose from 3 options ...We usually use the hotel wine, and we always pay at check-out. This time, they gave us a receipt for the 1st bottle we ordered, but, two days later, after requesting the 2nd bottle, and finishing the meal, as we were leaving the dining room, the girl shout to me that we hadn't paid the wine ... that was very unpleasant, so much so that, supposedly, we would pay, whatever we had ordered, at the check out.Anyway, we had to pay, right then. Again, never happened before. And finally, the hotel was having a lot of groups, remaining free 4 or 5 tables, among all the other that were reserved for the groups, which was not nice, and made us go at the opening of the dining room, to guarantee that we could have our meal at the usual time.
Exceptional
We mainly come for the evening entertainment and it was disappointing and a little boring, I prefer music to dance to and some other guests said the same.
Hreat location to explore Almuñecar and direct access to motorway
“Balcony”was more like a prison exercise yard than a balcony. It was very big but no view at all. Very disappointing
The staff were excellent very helpful and polite
It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms
Comfortable and lovely views Staff lovely too
Could do with an upgrade as in maybe walk in shower
The location is good and safe
Absence of electric kettle and tea cups in the rooms
The room was spacious and very clean. Service was excellent. Rooftop pool and bar was fabulous and the views were stunning.
You could go with something on the balcony to hang your wet clothes and towels on. That’s the only thing I missed.
Excellent breakfast choices. Cleanliness was fantastic. Spa was wonderful ( I had a full massage). Nice coffee bar.
Why can't you get a coffee in the evening after eating your meal in the Entresuelo dining room? You need to go down 2 floors in the lift to the coffee bar. Not ideal.
