Location was excellent - it had the feel of being out of it all but was right next to the entrance to the town and beach. The hotel itself is gorgeous and well maintained, great light in the evening and lots of nice places to sit and relax.

The breakfast wasn’t great and dinner was a bit expensive

We couldn't ask for more.Location,amazing and very helpfull staff (Elke especially),clean,we loved it overall and definitely be back.

The AC in the room was quiet weak and one of the main lights did not work.

Comfort and simplicity! The ideal place to stay if you are travelling by car, as it is located at the edge of San Jose. It features a car park within the premises. Originally a farm that starred in Spaghetti Westerns this 4-stat hotel has loads of personality. Its swimming pool is simple and cool, the reception staff is kind and helpful, breakfast is fine, you feel at home!

I was not expecting the rooms to be spread out in the grounds. In some respects it was a bit like motel although very nice and typical style for Andalusia. You need a car to go to the beach although its not far.It would have been nice to have air con.

Loved our stay! Rustic but comfortable. Walk to town and its many restaurants, and beach. Relax after a long day of hiking in the large pool or the many rooms equipped with comfortable sofas. The king size bed was comfortable, the terrace private and overlooking a pine grove. We recommend it heartily.

It's a real oasis. All was great, he sound of the birds waking up. The lovely cortijo style decoration The size of the room, overall great!

Breakfast can be a bit more extended as it is quite basic, but it did not make the stay less great!

Great accommodation facilities, rooms are neat and tidy and very generous with size. Staff are very helpful and kind. Great options with breakfast. Love it. Will definetly visit again!!!

Beautiful place, unfortunately we could not use the pool as the wind was too strong. We loved the details, everything was decorated with love. The receptionist was very friendly although we paid way less than the normal rate.

No complaints

We are English speaking Canadians. When we arrived the front desk staff spoke excellent English. It really helped us to be comfortable. The next day there was a man on the front desk who did not speak any English and he wouldn't try to communicate with us... So sad. There was a large group of hikers while we were there. They are all the breakfast food! There was very little for us on the first day. A potatoes egg pie was heated in the microwave for us and was still partially frozen. I complained the lack of food and it was much better the next day. But a frozen premade potatoes egg pie is not in keeping with the calibre if the hotel.

What did I like. The beds room balcony were all lovely. We played cards in the sitting area if the hotel and I did my yoga there as wellIt was a great stay. I wish they had the large group separate from the guests. The large group were lovely people but overpowering.

Completely unexpected. We were on a road trip and this place was perfect. Nice hotel. Beautiful nature. Welcoming staff.

Excellent stay. The hotel is right outside of town so it is very secluded and quiet, great style and vibe in the facilities, and great pool.

Our third enjoyable visit here in recent years and good value. The hotel is in a great location just outside San Jose in the country. Used as a location for some old Spaghetti westerns, it is great to sit in the bar area by the fire and play back a fight scene on YouTube from Clint Eastwoods "A Few Dollars More". It has changed a bit since then but seeing Clint fighting the bad guys where you are actually sitting is amazing. The hotel is spread out over a large area and San Jose is not that far to walk too, a nice chilled out little town with a great beach and marina. The staff at this quiet time of year seem to do many jobs but are very friendly as always. The rooms are big and clean and there is a good sized sheltered pool. There are lots of places to sit and read, chat or enjoy a drink inside the hotel in huge lounges with lots of interesting things in them. A great base for exploring the fantastic rugged coast and beaches, or less than half an hour to Mini Hollywood, one of 3 western film sets. We look forward to our next visit.
