    Pros +

    • Great location - historical complex - very unique experience!
    • Beautiful location, comfortable beds, everything was clean.
    • Very friendly staffQuiet hotel within deep forrestGood restaurant for dinner and breakfast

    Cons -

    • Air-conditioning - not for hot summers :)
    • Staff is a bit grumpy, breakfast does not serve before 8 AM on the weekend, so watch out and don't pay for it if you have to leave early. Owner promised us some take away packages instead, but they were not there in the morning.Oh and this is yet another hotel which seems to want guests to be up at 5 AM in the summer. Is it really that difficult to get black out curtains in the rooms? Its a hotel. We by definition pay for it to have a place to sleep at. Having light in the room this early defeats the purpose.

A most friendly host with a sense of humour who was extremely helpful and attentive. Breakfast was cooked to your wishes and one felt a fine sense of hospitality!

Lovely place to stay and good food in the restaurant. Located in the woods with ample parking. Quiet, peaceful and well worth a visit.

Nice and peaceful location. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Breakfast was plentiful and the dining area always nicely prepared with great attention to details. Rooms are well equipped, comfortable bed. It’s a dog friendly hotel and it was a massive plus for us.The parking is available. Great outside area.

Everything was great. Just a note our room didn’t have the hairdryer and no fridge but we also diddid on it need it.

Good looking building and environment. Room furnishing is good.

    - THE MAIN DISADVANTAGE WAS THE WAY I WAS TREATED AT CHECK-IN. I booked and PAID for a room for two persons. At check-in a staff member asked me how many persons will be in the room i answered that only me. After my answer the other staff member removed a second pillow and a blanket as well as some other accessories from the room without asking me if i would like to have them or not. Due to this fact i did not order a breakfast, so can't comment on it.- I saw only 1 socket in the room.- Bathroom cleaning could be better. I saw hair as well as a spider-roommate.

Very nice host, nice rooms and very quiet location. We could really relax in that beautiful forest. We will come here again.

I was spending one night there as an accommodation during a hiking trip. I didn't know what to expect so deep in the forest but the house is really charming, the room is very clean, the facilities around the bar are comfy and there people are very friendly. Indeed the owner helped with planning my routes and even gave me a ride in the morning to skip the asphalt road and directly start from the natural trails - conclusion: highly recommended

The food was great. Very good breakfast. I also had dinner at the hotel both nights. They have an extensive menu. Every thing I ordered was very tasty. Superb trout and paté of venison.

The bed was a little hard.

Stylish building and interior. Located in forest. Very quiet. Friendly owners. Exceptionally good food. Excellent choice of wines. Highly recommended for overnight stay or longer to explore the locality.

    8JanPosted on: 5-6-2022

A very nice room with balcony, the surrounding area of the lodge was very clean and neat with a lot of open space and seating on the outside terrace. Overall, it is a very beautiful lodge in a forest. The restaurant menu had a great choice of dishes and the food that we ordered from the restaurant was absolutely delicious.Last but not least, the property manager was very friendly and accommodating.

Staff appeared somewhat grim, a bit unwelcoming. I would have expected a better breakfast.

Particularly lovely if you're a cat lover and/or a traditional hunting lodge decoration fan.
