- We were disappointed. This hotel is definitely not for foreigners or people who are not into golf and spend time and $$$ on a regular basis. I found it expensive for what it is. The rooms are OK and our bed was comfortable enough as was the bathroom. Check in was ok but I was surprised we were offered a room in the basement with a view of the backyard grass. We were celebrating my birthday and were looking forward to a nice meal after a long drive from France. We were directed to sit close to the bar. It took at least half an hour to order our food (very limited options for vegetarians) as the unfortunate waiter Hub or Heb was overwhelmed running back and forth from the outdoor patio to the bar and kitchen.Around 40-45 minutes in, a group of 4 men walked in, speaking the local language, evidently regular customers and possibly golfers (judging by their tan and outfits) and sat down in our area. They were eating not long after, I guess they hold special privileges and were friends with the other waiter. My husband found that quite offensive, not only because of the understaffed operation of this place, but the fact that we had been discriminated.By that time an hour had passed, we still had no food and my birthday celebration was becoming a frustrating ordeal. We walked out and had to stress over finding a place to eat late in the evening in an unfamiliar city. We were lucky to find an Italian Restaurant that I will review separately, so my birthday celebration wasn't completely ruined.I do appreciate our waiter making an effort to at least talk to us and keep promising that we would get our meal eventually- but the kitchen put us last on their list. After this very negative experience I expected we would receive some form of compensation from the reception the following morning, maybe a free breakfast or a discount? Nothing. They simply don't care so I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who is not Belgian, not a regular, not a golfer.

We stayed for four nights due to travelling to Belgium for an operation. The reception staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel was clean and you felt relaxed and at home. Due to the hotels location waking up to the sound of the birds was just what the doctor ordered. There was a minor issue with room service but this was quickly rectified by the reception staff and the manager. The food is exceptional.
Nice and modern hotel on a beautiful estate. Very friendly front desk staff.
The hotel is pretty and the environment is quite pleasant. The pool area is nice and big enough. The hotel must be very nice for good days.
The behavior when you are French could be a little "warmer". The rooms are small and the bathroom too small for two people in it. The spa area is too small for the number of guests. At the pool, there are not enough deckchairs. If they are all taken, we have to put our things on the floor. The bar offers food but for the quality of the dishes, the prices are excessive.
Top class breakfast everything was excellent staff was so helpful thank you
Maybe a little more tables in the bar for food
Nice hotel, quite area, good rooms with comfortable beds
Noise insulation could be better
new, well designed bathroom, next to the pool, dog friendly, good breakfast
no double bed nothing prepared for the dog
Perfect place for rest..! Also area around the hotel, nice swimming pool, include the price. Gym, snooker table I’ll recommend for No doubt
Everything was perfect for me..!
rooms were very clean and tidy. lots of entertainment offered. it also smelled amazing.
there's a part in the driveway toward the reception where there's an indent and asphalt missing. didn't see it the first time but definitely remembered to be careful after. maybe add some more options for cocktails.
It was relaxing, clean, spacious and the receptionist was lovely who helped us from arrival to departing. Lovely person whatever she was called.
Beautiful and well located
Room 123 super noisy stamping and bumping till late at night Airconditioners didn’t work Rooms should be cleaned before 17:00 Needs a porter trolley for luggage
Was close to the restaurant we had diner
Receptioniste during check in was not the most friendliest We had to pay an extra 100€ on top of our booking rate, for parking (while it was a large parking of the golfcourse next to the hotel) price quality not ok
Staff was extremely rude and dinner closed at 20.30h, without any warning. We had to take a cab to the city centre to get some food, while we had a reservation at the hotel restaurant
Nice rooms, good pool
Expensive breakfast, quite surprised about the € 10 we had to pay just to park the car on an enormous open air parking place ?
Calm area, really good location to venture out with the car or bicycle into Genk and the national park or explore nearby Zutendaal.Very clean rooms (we know as we saw three of them, but more on that below in the next field).Beware that the standard rooms are very compact yet feature everything you need for a short stay.Bathroom was new and good pressure in the shower. The staff were very friendly and helpful, you can feel there is a sense of making the guest feel welcome and comfortable.
For us the fact that we booked a room that clearly stated 1 full bed and it turned out to be two single beds put together, was a major letdown. The staff was very friendly and tried helping but it turned out all the standard rooms consist of twin beds. So housekeeping found us a large bedsheet to pull over the two mattresses but we still slipped between the mattress while turning in our sleep. The music in the further amazing swimming pool consisted of the same two songs on repeat, quite loudly, it was not a major issue but it feels a bit weird that the same two songs keep playing over and over the whole weekend. The parking is 10€ per night, this is stated on booking, so ok, but it feels a bit steep considering there is nothing nearby to park for free as it is secluded, and also the guests of the golf club and the restaurant don't need to pay for using the same parking.Rooms are a bit noise sensitive, most renovated or new hotels I stayed in the last couple of years had special features like sound panels or special isolation between the walls to keep from hearing your neighbours play TV or talk loudly, this one seems to not have that feature?
Beautiful room, very efficient arranged everything was well thought of. Good service, nice and cosy bar where you can have good meals. Even better Moonstone restaurant for exquisite dining. Location next to many beautiful Kempen bycicle routes. We were happy that the service included bringing our bycicle to repair shop and assistance when our car broke down. Recommended and worth another stay.
Room and toilet space a bit too compact,
