    Pros +

    • Magical ambient, comfortable rooms, mix between classic and modern style, super clean, very friendly staff. Warmly recommended.
    • The castle is just beautiful! Most of the rooms are outside of the castle, but part of the grounds surrounded by the moat. The room was incredible and very comfortable. It's quiet with beautiful views of the forest.
    • Great staff, nice big room, beautiful castle and area.

    Cons -

    • The bar was less attractive than you would have expected, the decor and design seem more like an afterthought. It's a limited bar offering, not a true cocktail bar. They do try their best to find the right drink for you.
    • Not much, maybe rotate the breakfast a bit but it's was nice.
    • Nothing, all perfect

The staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. We ordered two each very good wines for our stay and the waitress volunteerd to request from the chef whether he could prepare a dinner the next day matching the selected wine. A lovely gesture which challenge was taken up by the chef. FIRST CLASS. The food was exceptional.

Upon arrival, I greeted the lady behind the reception desk with: " Good afternoon to you" to which she replied: " Hallo". Like being greeted at the grocery store. I suppose she still requires some training and some education. Breakfast was fine and the service was quick, good overall.

Very nice location, easy to reach from the train station in Heerlen. Liked a lot the design of the room! Breakfast was very good.

    Everything was ok

I really loved the location and the grounds not to mention the castle itself has so much history and it is beautiful. I’ve been wanting to stay there for years and finally did. I loved the bar area (although quiet), and we enjoyed our large room, the amazing updated bathrooms. The property is grounds is fantastic. Every morning with a walk in the gardens and around the castle.

I didn’t love the breakfast situation and how expensive the breakfast was. Although my room was beautiful it wasn’t super super clean, there were some bugs on the ceiling, and at one point they wouldn’t let us order a coffee? They insisted we used the coffee maker in the room, which I personally never use at hotels and it just rubbed me the wrong way.

We had the blue tower suite and loved it . Very authentic. We also like the gardens , staff, and little touches to the room ( fresh fruit, and nuts ) the bed was very comfortable.

    Nothing .

Perfect accommodation for a romantic night. Our castle room had a view of the garden which was beautiful, the room was really comfortable and spacious. We went to the restaurant downstairs for dinner and it was an experience. The food was on another level and the service was great too

Hotel located in a very quiet and peaceful area. I really felt like living in an authentic castle. Hotel staff is very welcoming and friendly. Rooms are clean and you have internet connections throughout the entire facility. Also, the hotel is very close to the train station.

The breakfast is 25 euros and there are limited options for lunch and dinner.

2nd time there-the buildings and rooms are unchangedly nice and well maintained.Peacefull court.

They booked the half of the 4-nights-stay cost UNAUTHORIZED from my credit card during the first night. System failure-explained the manager after I claimed it-and the amount was blocked nearly 2 weeks long. The breakfast doesn’t has the selection what I expected.

We had a superb one-night stay. The location is outstanding, the dinner was superb, the amenities were excellent and. the staff were very helpful.

Breakfast was good but was not worth the €25 per head we had to pay!

    Poor

Service was really bad. Women on reception did everything to ruin our good memories from being there. It’s all started at the hotel bar there we went to had some drinks. We asked for a bill but our waitress forget about it and after 15 minutes of waiting we went directly at bar and paid. And next morning during check out receptionist started accusing us of stealing. She didn’t believe us that we paid. This is anything but not the hospitality. And believe me she knew what she was doing with a big grin on her face. I was speechless. I tried to explain her that we pay directly at the bar and she kept saying “I will check this information with my colleagues”. And keep smiling like a creep. Very unprofessional. Ruin our good mood over 14 euros. Pathetic really.

Breakfast was served in the old castle, besides a breakfast buffet the staff served hot drinks and food. The location is unique: We were sleeping in a real castle!
