Van der Valk Hotel Heerlen

Spacious, clean and modern bedrooms with a lovely lobby and restaurant.

Lunch was not available after check in, just snacks. That might be a misunderstanding on our part but a simple lunch menu (not just bar bites) would have been nice.

clean and comfortable rooms with friendly staff. there were plenty of amenities at the hotel like a spa, swimming pool, casino, restaurant etc.

we had a three person room with friends but the open concept bathroom was not the most comfortable as the doors did not lock and shower + bath were out in the open.

The room was big and comfortable, with nice beds and a good size bathroom.

You can start to see the age in the overall maintenance of the room.

The room was very nice, and so were the facilities in the room.

I was under the impression that breakfast was included, but it was charged extra. The receptionist was neither very helpful nor very friendly. I didn't trust him, and I didn't feel safe arguing about breakfast with him.

Everything was absolutely perfect. We were extremely satisfied with both the facilities and the staff — everyone was kind, professional, and very helpful. This was our first stay here, but definitely not our last. Thank you very much for the wonderful few days we spent here. We truly enjoyed every moment. ( Room 610 )

Rooms are starting to show their age. It was clean. I had lots of wind noise in my room (312)

The top part of the mattress slides off and isn’t very good.

I was part of the trail run closed by.so it was best location for megood servicesswimm and saunas for extra

Very friendly staff, welcoming and efficient. Hotel is comfortable, a good place to use as a base to discover the area.

Poor customer service. Staff was not responsive and respectful. I had to wait for 45 minutes and no one attended to me

It is a typically van der Valk hotel. Nothing bad about that.Personnel was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately in the weekend the bar wasn't open.

The bathroom wasn't clean at all. Stains on the glass door of the toilet. The airflow was full of dirt and dust.Shower wasn't clean

Room 214 bathroom had that awful sewer smell that lingers in the air. It didn't go away but I was given an odor free room when I complained.

We travelled with a small child and were given a stunning room with a child sleep/play area with a slide and a tent to entertain their imagination. Just brilliant! The pool/spa area is also one we love so much. We will be back next year!

The staff in the restaurant is very nice but it takes a lot of time to get their attention and again quite a lot of time to solve the request. For example, we asked for extra ketchup but by the time it has finally arrived, the chips were almost eaten anyway.

Van de Valk Heerlen was awesome almost at everything. We were looking a get away not in the Netherlands. With Wellness (Spa) and some activities for kids. It was clean, calm and reasonable in every other aspect. A room with four occupancy, for family with kids make the all checks green.

Modern, beautifully appointed hotel with excellent restaurant. Excellent service at check-in, and in the restaurant. Bouteous breakfast with many food choices.
