    Pros +

    • The room was excellent, with very comfortable beds and a splendid view over the grounds. Everything was spotlessly clean. The large ensuite bathroom has a full length bath, a vast improvement on the tiny showers one tends to find these days. The range of options at breakfast was excellent: all that was missing was a hot 'full English' breakfast, but I wasn't expecting one in Belgium. The chateau itself is very characterful. I shall certainly stay here again if and when in the area.
    • Breakfast; size of room, assistance from other customers.
    • Shocking

    Cons -

    • Nothing. Everything was first class.
    • This hotel is an attempt to find a profitable use of an old country estate and mansion. It would have rated higher had I known what to expect. No shower, a tub with sides so high one risked slipping when getting out. A window far too high to view the countryside. No elevator, despite my room on the second flight up. No indoor parking for my bike. The location is a bit remote--travellers without their own transportation have few options for dinner.
    • Very disappointed that Booking.com even has this property on their books. No facilities, not even a coffee, in the evening and all local venues shut as it was a Sunday.Staircase old but had holes in it and dirty

Very big and spacious rooms with nice view to the big garden.

It was very loud between the rooms.

I liked that it was a castle.

It was looking old, looking unprepared to be a hotel. It was like they made the minimum changes to be categorized as a hotel. Not that historic oldness but that type who brought in my imagination the poor nobles from old time who had nothing else besides a castle left to them by ancestors. The room had no wardrobe and the one person bed was moving just by putting my head on the pillow. The bath had a bathtub but hot water was not enough to fill it up, breakfast was also like concentrated to make yourself a sandwich with some cold stuff and go away. Etc

Location was good. Building was beautiful.... breakfast was continental and great....

    Building was tired.

Fantastic old building....Must be a difficult place to maintain.....!Was here with a group of friends some of the rooms were massive others were much smaller..Some with showers some with bathsBreakfast was adequate but nothing outstanding..Located a bit out of town (taxi €10 to €12 )Would stay here again it worked ok for us..

Building seemed a little empty. As no body at reception..No kettle or tea and coffee.

I stayed in the room with the balcony overlooking the entrance. Such a beautiful space! Breakfast was simple yet very nice.

Gorgeous home with updates that allow for modern comforts in rooms without sacrificing original architecture and charm.

It's next to a large nuclear power plant with cooling towers clearly visible from the hotel.

Very authentic "chateau" with the very nice feel and atmosphere of a chateau. Very spacious rooms with high ceilings. Comfortable beds. Bathroom ok. Free parking in front of property, easy access.

Bathroom was ok, however do not expect a 5 star one. It did not feel as a dis-comfort

    Setting. Older building.

    Lighting in bathroom.

The structure is magnificent, it feels like in a film, both interiors and exteriors.

The stuff, even if kind and professional, does not speak English. The reception closes early.

the rooms are very large - the chateau resonates an has been atmosphere

    breakfast was very basic

    7DavidPosted on: 6-16-2023

This is an old dated chateau full of character with enormous rooms.

A bit tired. Our room had a bath with a short shower so you couldn’t stand to have a shower.Breakfast was OK but not much choice. Other meals had to be taken out.

    5salimaPosted on: 5-21-2023

    The breakfast was ok

The refrigerator wasn't clean there was still food from the person who was there previously. I had to call them twice with my phone (cause the phone wasn't provided with the reception number). 1st time for the balcony window which was broken and impossible to close. And the 2sd because there wasn't hot water. There is no lift which is very annoying for the luggage..

    7TonyPosted on: 8-22-2022

    the building is very nice

the location - the breakfast - the noise at night

    7JamesPosted on: 8-2-2022
