Le Merceny Motel

This is a unique property and within walking distance to historical sites & restaurants. The staff were friendly and professional. They spoke English very well which made it much easier for us (Americans). The room was very modern & clean.

The staff were friendly and accomodating, and they helped us out when we were late checking in due to a problem with a cancelled train. The rooms were very modern and comfortable.

The only thing I didn't like was the glass wall in the bathroom. It was mostly opaque, but had transparent stripes running through it, making it a little uncomfortable to use the bathroom when friends were in the hotel room.

The room was large and clean and had air conditioning. Excellent bathroom facilities I would be happy to stay there again.

The motel is situated over a gas station, so it can be noisy, although we never heard any noise in the room. It’s also crowded outside and difficult to find parking although we did find parking across the street and also doesn’t have any amenities that many people are used to for a motel.

A little gem in Bastogne. Very nice comfortable rooms and wonderful walk-in shower. Everything was well kept and the service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

The location was fantastic. The store below was very convenient, and the continental breakfast was fantastic. The room was modern and very clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. A plus experience.

The rooms were clean.

It sits above a gas station at a busy intersection. Concrete floors without any rugs.

The room was very nice and clean. Good location. The hotel is above a convenience shop which is unusual but it worked and parking is free anywhere in front of the store. Management very nice and accommodating. Breakfast good, not a huge amount of choices but provided everything we needed and it’s not a large hotel.

Have to use steps to get to our room which wasn’t a huge problem but some people would need to be aware.

The hotel is on the second floor of a shop and a gas station. There is no private parking.

I have never stayed in a hotel over a gas station. However, it was a great stay! Comfortable beds, friendly staff, easy parking, super convenient walk into the city centre and also convenient to have a nicely stocked gas station with lots of food and drink options just below you. Great breakfast too!

The only comment I have for possible improvement is the floor in our bedroom area did not seem extremely clean. It could just be the finish of the flooring but there were noticeable scuffs, stains etc. I was not bothered enough by the floor to make a comment during our stay.

Location, attached to a gas station, shop and breakfast on site. Which was a pretty good one. I actually came back and ate a quick lunch here. Clean uncomfortable.

Met our needs

Cracking little Motel in Bastognes' petrol station. Do not let that deter, as we could not smell the petrol, as one might expect. Well placed for all the trips the area has to offer, and a short walk to McAuliffe Square for some very good restaurants. Really nice staff and a very nice breakfast helped to make a very positive experience.

The fact its in a petrol station shouldn't put you off, it was great, I good a better night sleep there than the expensive hotels Ive stayed, the rooms are at the back and are really quiet, breakfast was in the cafe and parking in the petrol station, very safe and quiet, well worth a stay if in Bastonge and easy walj into town to the bar and places to eat.

The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly, the room was very clean and well decorated. As much as I hate to admit it, there were some English Programmes on the tv. This hotel was a really great and unexpected find

A point of amusement that the bathroom was visible from the room, through purposeful gaps in the pattern on the glass. It didn’t cause any major issues and you didn’t feel quite so exposed as it first felt

Room was nice and comfy. There is a gasstation underneath the hotel but this did not provide any nuisance. Rooms are giving out to rear side. Friendly staff.

Standard giving a second key could be helpfull. Especially as you need the key to get back into the building and the electricity of the room is linked to the key.The hotel is not suited for people with reduced mobility given there is no elevator (at least none I found).
