Pros +
- Very good location and friendly staff. We paid for breakfast on one of the mornings but we were there at the end of the breakfast period and they made some extra pastries for us to have them warm, which was incredibly thoughtful. The room was generous, overlooking the train station. It was a bit cold inside, but they provided us with an electrical heater and that helped.
- family room was great - a double and 2 singles
- Beds where comfortable, room was nice.
Cons -
- No hot water while it was almost freezing outside.Though check-in time was at 3p.m, I arrived a bit earlier expecting to be able to wait for my room in the lobby. However, the main hotel door was locked and I had to call the manager to let me in from the rain. The manager doesn't speak English and I had to use my shabby French. After getting my key, I was told to come back after 1 hour until the room was ready; "go out" for 1 hour, not wait in the lobby for 1 hour.
- We had breakfast and although everything had been laid out it wasn't the greatest breakfast e.g. croissants a bit undercooked, cooked option was to put plate in microwave etc
- Car park was quite a distance from the hotel, bar shut early, lighting was poor

Nice public spaces, pleasant and helpful staff. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was nice.
Room 102, an upgraded "superior" room, was clean enough, but basic, gloomy and dusty with sparse furniture, squeakiest floorboards of any room I've ever stayed in.Black painted walls, tangerine ceilings, with no actual lights in the bedroom, only small lamps. The corridor outside the room smelled of the drains. Room was up a tiny spiral fire escape. The room looked NOTHING like the publicity shots. It was very, very slapdash and quite expensive for the quality.
I really liked the hotel decor, a bit quirky, different to the usual hotels. The family room was great, good size, very clean, great bathroom with a great shower. The actual hotel and our room I loved. The parking once we found it was just down the road and free
We booked our overnight stay there because it had a restaurant and bar. We didn’t want to move far as we had an early start for our ferry home, but both didn’t open, to our disappointment. It appeared we were the only people staying there. Staff checked us in then disappeared. Very strange . Left in the morning, still no one else to be seen. The noise till the early hours was awful, not sure where it was coming from as there was a cinema across the road and a train station but didn’t hear any trains, just noisy people and music, unfortunately we had to have the window wide open as it was far too hot in the rooms. Two joining rooms with one fan.
1 night, bit hot and no A/C. Room painted black. Very limited food options.
Rooms painted black.
Nice big room, easy check in and access, parked on street,
Pillow was a bit thick for me but that is just personal preference. Some parking instructions would add to a great hotel, wasn't sure where to park
The hotel was in a good location for our onward travels.Definitely a unique decor. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK.
No onsite parking.
Very bad rubbish
Confirmation number 4217.034.606. We had traveled 500miles/805Km to this hotel on our last stop before crossing to UK. We had our bikes on the back and all our camping stuff. Firstly we were told that the hotel does not have parking and that we need to use the public car park 100 meters away. Secondly we were told that the restaurant was closed and we would have to walk to the centre about 10 minute away, not what you want to do when been driving all day and not in a very good area a (it was a French man who told us about the area) You just want to eat at the hotel as advertised by booking.com. Thirdly the decor, our room was Black and orange so very dark and the same in the breakfast area where there was no one about. I would NOT stay there again.
Location for access to channel tunnel
Parking was not obvious - we drove around for a while and paid for street parking until we could ask the hotel staff for guidance.
Bed comfy shower hot
Restaurant closed at weekends!
Bad
Very old room. Dirty and bad smell in the room. The food was bad
Decor, beds and bar
Parking
It was the first and last time.
It was the first time in my life when I found unwashed linen in the hotel bed. Additionally, they deducted 100 euros from our deposit for potential damages not returned. In the morning, there was no staff available, and there was no one to address our concerns. It was the first and last time.
Location
The smell of sewage from outside. The fact that I had to email my bank details to obtain the entry code even though I had paid in full through booking.com because reception closes early (nothing mentioned prior to booking). No parking at the hotel even though the listing states free parking. No one speaks English when they repeatedly phone and demand credit card details without explanation. Overall very poor customer services from both the hotel and booking.com as well as inaccurate details in the listing. I would not recommend or stay here again.
Passable
all was good except we paid for breakfast 8 eur which supposed to be btw 7-9am, we even mentioned we leave early. Bread arrived after we left at 8.20
The hotel was really poor and customer service is non-existance. They knew I was arriving in the middle of the night with a family (including 2 young children). This was communicated at the time of booking. There were some translation difficulties but it was made very clear that I would be arriving late and I would be happy to resolve any payment for the security deposit they insisted upon. Despite this and having already paid for the accommodation, the hotel refused to answer any calls upon our arrival and refused to open the doors to allow us in. This forced us as a family to stay overnight in a very full car making it all very uncomfortable experience for us with a long journey ahead of us through France.
Everything. They knew I would be arriving late as it was included on booking notes at time of booking. The notification just states to contact the hotel prior to arrival, not prior to a specific time which was done, and it doesn't make it clear, particularly as a non french speaker, that there is a further cost to pay. The communication on booking made it look like it the cost of booking the room and not an addition security deposit. Despite providing the hotel al the information necessary whilst I was travelling and a cast iron guarantee I would be arriving with the family they refused to open the hotel doors to me or the family at 1am in the morning. This forced us to have no where to stay that night except in a very full car with a long journey ahead of us through France (with the lack of sleep this caused a safety issue). Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone and their customer service - and the support to resolve this from booking.com has been shocking (practically non-existing)
Great room, comfy, spacious, clean.
Very convenient, dog-friendly (without smelling like a dog hotel!) and really friendly and helpful management. Extremely comfortable beds and a great bathroom. A quadruple room - hard to find and great value.
It was hot - but then again, it wasn't supposed to be that temperature in that part of France!
