Pros +
- Very friendly staff. Absolutely beautiful view from the room over the mountain valley. Very peaceful and calm. The room is relatively basic but has everything needed for a comfortable stay. We were really happy about the opportunity to have dinner directly at the location. The room and dinner had really good price value. It was our stopover on the way from Cordoba to Malaga and we were truly happy about our choice to stay in this place.
- Nice location, although too far to walk to Lucena, nothing else rebye.
- Perfect 5 nights stay in relaxing beautiful surundings. Great staf in very nice hotel with god food.
Cons -
- Old hotel, few rooms, not comfortable, extremely noisy till early hours if morning, children running about with bikes,in and out of tables, cats begging at tables when we were eating, nowhere in hotel to sit down, except bedroom, grounds need serious work, this is really set out as a restaurant with a few rooms, people coming to eat 11.00pm seriously noisy with smoke from cigarettes everywhere, very expensive also the poor food, keep well away, think we had a couple of hours sleep per night.
- We only stayed two nights. It can get busy in the restaurant and bar. Wedding parties use the hotel but that just adds to the people watching.
- There were communion parties in the hotel and so it was all a bit chaotic with children running around - this didn't bother us too much but may have been an issue for others as there was nowhere peaceful downstairs to relax. Wi fi in the bedroom non existent.Yellow shower curtain needs to go!

Great location. Great value for money. Good food.
The rlaxed, easy going nature of the hotel made the whole experience lovely. From check in to check out we enjoyed it all. The garden, the architecture and the location make it memorable. Even the cleaner was helpful and charming. The food is fantastic and to sit outside as it went dark was lovely.

Both Dinner and Breakfast were lovely although the room it was served in was a bit sparse in personality - I think the main dining room was set up for private events. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was clean and well maintained- as was the bathroom. The staff were friendly and we liked the very traditional Spanish food and ambience. The hotel was very peaceful once the party guests left

Complimentary car park, breakfast was simple but tasty, good coffee.
Very noisy - could hear the noises from the bar until late and then again early in the morning, someone else's alarm woke us up, didn't really get good night sleep as we would expect for the hotel in the middle of nowhere.Dinner food was okay, but we wouldn't eat there again.
Convenient, comfortable, clean .
Plates were very cold when serving dinner Our ONLY complaint. Thankyou
Breakfast was what we expected and was good. The location was brilliant.
The bath was very slippery and could have done with a rubber mat.
Everything! Its a beautiful setting, comfortable, clean room and lovely staff!
The helpfulness of the staff. When we arrived, on a cold January afternoon, the room we were given was chilly - the aircon heating was not working. A member of staff tried his best to get it working but to no avail so we were quickly moved to another room which was toasty! The evening dinner menu had lots of choice, the prices were very reasonable and the food tasty. The small bar on site was pleasant. Free parking was great.
The breakfast choice (from a fixed menu and not self service) was very limited. The room price including breakfast was 64 euro (for a room in January). The previous week we had stayed in a lovely 3 star hotel right in the centre of Salamanca with an amazing breakfast included for 52 euro. Given the location of the hotel Sierra de Araceli and the poor breakfast choice we didn't feel it represented particularly good value. However, we still had a pleasant stay.
Everything, location its perfect and loved the staff and the quality of the shower
The views were fabulous, we had a very pleasant lunch when we arrived at this peaceful out of town setting, with good private parking. We also had a very nice evening meal in the courtyard. The staff were very helpful & friendly.
The location is amazing - fabulous views. The hotel is top class - a really beautiful place, fabulous restaurant and staff
We were on our bikes and the trek up to the hotel was TOUGH. It was a long way out of the town and took a lot of extra energy after an already long day of cycling. I should have checked this...
Really beautiful location. Very quiet. Great views. The food in the restaurant was very good.
The rooms are quite basic, and it was quite cold inside (in January).
The hotel has a wonderful view of the mountains. In the morning is possible to see the sunrise and the birds singing when you are waking up. I strongly recommend the hotel to escape from the city and spend a nice weekend with quiet and peace.
Not related to the hotel, but we can not choose our neighbors, the other guests. During our stay, the neighbors were very noisy and at night it annoyed. If you let the window open you also should take care with mosquitos, but, again, nothing to complain about the hotel.
Food and stay wonderful. Lovely staff and perfect stay.
Good location and clean
the staff were very friendly and it was a great stay. the food in the restaurant was excellent
