Pros +
- Location close to town centre and ease of travel around Ieper
- Looks cheap, but not cheerful!
- Great breakfast, lots of space for large groups, comfortable beds for my whole family.
Cons -
- I guess there might be better rooms than the one we were assigned, but it was literally in a basement with a tiny window that opened onto the parking lot! It was extremely noisy, with banging doors clearly being heard. When we spoke to the employee at the desk, we were given earplugs. They had it at hand, so they know it's a noisy hotel! There were flies in our room when we entered it and the decor was old, dark and super basic. OK if you're in a group of people wanting to get super drunk at a nearby festival and just pass out for the night I guess?
- Not enough pillows
- Stayed here several times, and I have noticed that it's starting to look a bit "tired", nothing that's really off-putting but little details light bulbs not replaced, decoration needs touching up squeaky doors , car park gravel pot holes etc.

The overall experience, the room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating.
Not enough pillows
Nice convenient hotel for the city and local WW1 sites, good self-serve breakfast with lots of choice. Quiet rooms and competitively priced.Friendly staff.

Ideal location for visiting the area. Free parking.Taxi into town now available.
Proximity and location, great staff and super friendly, very helpful with organising taxis for us to get to and from the city centre
Nothing have stayed several times before and will return
Shower was exceptionally good and room very clean. Breakfast was super. Staff were great. Close parking. Very dog friendly.
Apart from the bed sloping a bit and a quilt not large enough for the size of the bed, all else was excellent.
The hotel is nicely located on the edge of town within easy access of the motorways, the very historic battlefields / lines and within easy access of Ypres and the Menin GateAlso offers Good parking, comfortable rooms and filling breakfast
Nothing springs to mind
For the price this hotel was perfect and exceeded my expectation. the facilities are very nice and the staff when arriving (late) were super friendly and helpful. Dinner was also excellent, a perfectly cooked steak.
The hotel is easy to find and has parking space.Check-in was easy, and the receptionist was helpful. The room was practical and comfortable. It had a good shower and facilities.
Breakfast was pleasant, self-service, but shut much earlier than advertised. So we missed it on our first morning, having travelled late the night before.
We have stayed at Flanders’s Lodge at least 10 times over the years and always enjoy our stay The breakfast is adequate too
The rooms are a bit dark otherwise everything is fine
I liked the location close to the Woodness and enough close to the center of Ieper on foot, the breakfast (excellent, fresh and varied), the quietness of the room, and the large room. Staff speaks English, French, Dutch of course and a few words of Italian :-)
My room door was damaged and wouldn't close easily. The cleaning staff even left the door ajar during my absence because of this. Fortunately, management responded promptly, assuring me that the door would be repaired on Monday (I was leaving before).
The room was basic but very comfortable and served us well for our one night stay. The hotel is well located for Ypres only a five minute drive. The hotel is very well presented and very clean. Excellent breakfast choice.
Good choice of breakfast and well cooked. Room was warm and clean. Its is located about a mile from the centre but that’s what taxis are for. You can walk it but no proper pavement in some places. Staff work really hard and were very welcoming
Our overnight stay was very comfortable, and refreshing for the next day's travels. We really appreciated the Last Post service in the town of Ypres, especially as we are Aussies for whom Belgium is very thankful. We did not realise the Australian soldiers' value to this small country.
We didn't have more time here.
